Koke

  • I cant believe how cheap koke is currently trading at 62p. All it will take is one good performance on pb and he will go flying up the index. Thoughts?

  • Good investment for when champions league kicks off.

  • Don't tell everyone, I want to pick some more up cheaply :-)

  • Totally agree, I took a fairly sizeable holding at around that price. Looking at similar players there's at least the opportunity for 20-30% appreciation. Scores well on the PB as well!

  • Go on then, sell him to me- I want stats to back up this PB claim.

    If I like, I buy :D

  • Football Index AS has provided a pretty detailed spreadsheet which ranks Koke as 8th in the midfielder list on a PB points per game from last season. Largely driven by his passes per game.

  • His ratings are similar, sometimes better than Griezman's, yet look at the price difference

  • He looks an interesting prospect but unfortunately to me he looks consistently good but never spectacular making any PB wins harder to come by, i would happily be proven wrong there though as I haven't followed him enough to know that for definite

Love him as a player- as a kid coming through he was really exciting. I'm just not sure he'll hold up too well in comparison to the competition in midfield scoring.

Whoscored don't use opta, do they? I wanted to use them as point of reference for my research, but I'm not sure it's the exact same scoring system.

The Sofascore app uses Opta, and he's 27th on the list of passes per game in La Liga alone, and not even top 50 rating in the league either.

Maybe one to watch as the season progresses, but even so you're relying solely on PB because I'm pretty sure he's recently signed a monster contract extension and stated his love for the club ("Koke breaks down in tears signing Atletico Madrid contract until 2024").

  • That's this seasons ratings, there has been one game and Athletico struggled in the game as a whole. That's like saying Stuani (not sure if right spelling) is better than Messi, Ronaldo etc

If you look at last seasons ratings on sofascore and take out the players who are no longer in the Spanish League or on the FI he's 8th best overall.

Obviously he's not better than Messi and co but for his price he's well worth it. If Athletico play a Friday when Barca/Madrid are not. He could do really well picking up the odd PB with a goal, assist and MOM

If he played for Barca, Madrid, PSG, Bayern or one of the top English treams, he would be £2-£3.

Well in my opinion. Worth having a few futures to see how he goes I think.

  • Personally I think the PB will sting a few people out as its based on a fix return rather than % return. This however makes it fairly lucrative for the cheaper players, particularly those who have the potential to snap up one or two buzz wins a season. Koke scored higher than the likes of Eriksen, Coutinho, De Bruyne, Pogba and Hazard on a points per game basis last season. Granted these players offer significantly more opportunity on a media buzz basis but just one performance buzz win would reflect 8-9% ROI for players around Koke's current value in comparison to someone like Pogba which would reflect 1.5% . Something worth considering.

On a capital value basis I still feel he is significantly undervalued and whilst I agree in part with the opinion above I feel that £2-3 is optimistic. Worth also noting the World Cup next year and his role with Spain.

  • Wow koke up to 77p since i started this thread plz sell so i can buy some more😎

  • I bought at 63p too, he is still a bargain even at 90p imo, compare to other listed midfielder similar they are all way higher, he is comparable to pjanic too if anything scores more and pjanic is currently substantially higher than him, and pjanic is still at an underprice imo

  • First of many pb wins for koke should be 1.50 at least😎

  • Do the hokey Koke
    Buzz buzz buzz
