If you're going to rush into getting in before the bonus ends, I would probably look at lower risk players or injured players, maybe people like Carrasco and Laporte. Then potentially a dependable dividend earner such as Messi or Neymar. Better to have a solid base/start and then you can do your own research and increase your risk
@janner73 I think this is also compounded by the fact that it seems Messi is slowly starting to find form again after a slow start to the season. People are probably now remembering what high scores he consistently posted before this season. But I think you're right, we're still in a bonus period so that helps, and I do agree that Messi is relatively safe considering no matter what dividends they announce, it'll only benefit him.
Quick and bang on the point video. The final top 10 for 30/9/19 are all my players except for 3 (Neymar, Messi, Pogba). Only Kane and De Bruyne are in the green at the moment. Let's hope tomorrow's announcement reinvigorates the top 200.
@janner73 They have been after Kimmich and TAA for a while as they cant seem to get the Right back position right. Semedo and Roberto have played there and not nailed it down. They may well get him to sign a new contract, but he will end up even more of a squad player then he is now.
Yeah cos when you have a player under contract until 2022 and you want to make him your back-up you offer him a new contract with a pay rise? Makes perfect sense lol.
Its the Man Utd being linked with everyone again and it's started in October. Anyone not getting regular game time or playing well is getting linked to them. Get on the links early but don't hang around to find out if you're on the 1 in 50 that actually happens.
I agree they need to address this and make def more valuable but how?
Unless they make tiered pb- which they’ve said they’d never do
Defenders are still as valuable as midfielders apart from the star man award which seems biased toward mids but there has been such a pump on mids everyone has left defenders and attacker alone.
This is my point, the next trend or trends will be defenders and attackers.
Goalkeepers make up a minority on the index, so despite being a key position in "real life", goalkeepers just aren't ever going to be on an equal footing with outfield players.
That's just the way it is, and always will be.
They may as well introduce a "managers" category for MB if they give goalkeepers a PB category. Same odds of winning and the advantage is very much skewed towards us (the investor) so FI would never be so foolish / generous.
Davide De Gea had won MB twice in 2 days, so it is already possible for these cheapies to win divs.
Rather than create a new topic I thought I would resurrect this one. Despite his age, anyone think he's still worth a punt?
Someone with more knowledge on PB scores able to share his performances so far this season? I had a look at his passing stats on Whoscored and he scores pretty highly for average passes, crosses and key passes. I must admit, I haven't seen him play - anyone watched him this season?
