Sounds like his career is on an upward trend and joining Juventus guarantees Wins and Clean Sheets. For me the crucial factor lies in a defenders goal scoring rate and dead ball involvement to differentiate them the rest.
The likes of Cancelo rack up great scores and takes a lot of set pieces but don't score that many goals, Otamendi gets on the ball a lot and smashes them in, Kolarov is somewhere inbetween. Marcelo and pre-injury Alves are PB machines etc.
If Arias bagging up better than 1 in 12 or a dead ball specialist then I'd say he's a huge bargain. Failing that he'll settle amongst Juve's squad full of defenders should he get the move and float around the 1 to 1.50 section.
@NewUser144089 a lot depends on the peformence of the players at the world cup. I think we will see new rising stars.... like Thomas Muller some years ago who was unknown before the wc and scored the most goals of all players at this tournament. I think it was 2010.
Or Keylor Navas 2014. Who moved after a very strong performence at the wc from Levante to Real Madrid.... that are just two examples.
@SambaStar Makes plenty of sense, but would it be a good thing (in FI terms)?
Wouldn't be a move I can see winning much media buzz. On the PB front, it's a tricky one. PSG are generally better for it than Atleti I'd say due to their style and simply winning/scoring so often. On the other hand, there's probably less competition among the Atletico midfield (depending on how their line-up next season ends up) - Koke, Saul - than the PSG one - GLC, Verratti, Rabiot, Draxler, Nkunku.
Thats what i use, always have it open on my browser, very very good website, also highlights players at the lower end of the price range that dont show up on MB, and the article normally hits the site 20-30 minutes before it ends up on FI MB.
Too many variables, specifically
-Does he make it (could get injured, he's also got an iffy mentality when noisy haha)
-Does he play well & trigger PB
-Does he move
-How big is the club he moves to
-What other strikers do they have
MASSIVE potential, but it'd just be pure speculation.
@Noirx4 when i said football porn, i didn't mean it would be good.
the woman was 48 with a cesarean scar, the plot was like something from the brookside reject bin, and the soundtrack was like the demo tracks from a casio keyboard.
still couldn't stop watching though ;)
@James I think you need to ask yourself whether he's behind Morata, because if so he's destined to sit on the bench and won't earn many dividends. But if you think he could nab a starting position, you'd get an absolute bargain with potential for big returns.
The important thing on FI is to take a long term view rather than getting swept away in the immediate fervour; is Giroud going to be holding his value in six months, one year, three years? My instinct is not, and so I'd leave this one. There's definite potential to try a risky short-term flip but I'd recommend you get to understand the Index a little more before trying that.
Giroud or Vardy are both proven in the premier league and have quality to there game however has a Spurs fan would love to see them take Llorente and we could throw in a midfielder for free like a BOGOF Sissoko!!!!
If it is announced he is off to City then he will crash sharply. If it is announced he is off to United then he could even keep rising at least for the short-term. If its announced he is definitely staying for the season then its anyone's guess but would probably see slight drift down. Given the price hike, wonder if that means people know he is off to United ?
If I was him, after waiting this long I would refuse any transfer and then he could ask for pretty much any signing on fee he wants from whoever he wants in the summer.
Wow, pretty new to this site and first transfer window for me, what I seen is complete madness, players linked to transfers shoot up and then plummet when the deal is done, Huge volatility all across, just wondering if that’s normal and if June/July/August are the same?
The WC should be another big factor this year I suppose but transfers talk seem to affect trade hugely, what are your past experiences and what would you suggest?
No - last summer was about 20 times as volatile as this. It was absolutely crazy. Morata was going from £1 to £5 back to £1 then to £3 then something else. Jan has been pretty tame so far in comparison. Was very dangerous - someone like James halved in value in about half an hour when he was off to Bayern instead of England. World Cup might soften it a bit.
