Asensio knee injury
-
How do people think this will affect Bale and Ceballos scenarios? Also who is likely to take his place in the Real Madrid team? VJ?
-
It should be Bale. But I think Zidane is desperate to get Bale off the wage bill and is only playing him in friendlies to put him in the shop window.
I suspect the direct replacement will be Vinicius Junior.
-
Ceballos is a different type of player and Asensio was hardly a regular starter. Sure real can cope with one injury in that squad.
-
@NewUser275766 Do you think Ceballos will still go to Arsenal then?
-
Seeing reports that it looks bad and could even miss the season , big shame for him
-
For sure.
Ceballos doesnt want to sit on the bench, and he will still do that even with Asensio's injury.
-
Must be better news for Isco?

Possibly but I couldn't bring myself to invest in someone with a 1 year graph like this
-
@Chris-J how do you think I feel having held him for that time??!!
-
@NewUser731
I know how you feel! I'm still hoping one of the Premiership clubs come in for him before 8th August or he can force his way back into the Real side (probably less likely).
-
@ocs123 if I remember he was in/around the starting xi under zidane last time around. I'm hoping he can refind his form.

POGBA - Bale off to China & ZZ wants a galactico replacement, MUFC drop Fernandes & SMS into their midfield with the money, everyone's happy!
-
Just seen the Asensio injury, doesn’t look like it’s too bad.
Does anyone have any reports from Spain as to the extent of it?
Shame he was playing so well since he came on as well.
-
He's done his ACL out for the season
-
Asensio is one of my largest holds. I've had him since I started. Last nights injury is a bad one. The reports say he is likely to miss the entire season.
Despite this, once he bottoms out, I'll be investing further.
If there is one thing we know about the index, its that an injured player is probably the safest place to put your money.
Yes there are easier and quicker ways to make a few quid, but I don't mind waiting the entire 3 years for the red to turn green. 👍
-
@johnboywalker Ouch, yes good time to get on him but not going to see Green till at least next Summer, hopefully he comes back last few games bangs in some goals and get Spain call up for Euros
-
Disagree wildly @FairlyNewUser. CHO was injured in April and dropped all the way to £3.18 at his lowest. By May he was already back up to £3.80+.
I'm not saying Asensio will rise as fast as that because obviously the two scenarios are very different, but if you time getting on Asensio right you'll be seeing some profit before Christmas pretty easily imho.
-
Great time to get on imo , lowest he’s been all year except for once will see profit before he’s back fit definitely, and some divs today
-
@NewUser159387 Bale ain't going to China.
-
@johnboywalker I'm in precisely the same situation - Asensio was my longest hold and one of the largest in terms of both shares and price volume. He'll be back, hopefully stronger. At least in the short term (i.e. today) he might finally win me some MB!!
