Robbed - sale price £0!
-
@NewUser408796 his price didn't just drop to 0p its been there for weeks!! He's retired so why would his IS price be anything else?! You've not bought have you? If so list to sell to market and hope someone is equally daft!
-
-
@NewUser408796 Could I please ask how many shares you actually purchased?
-
@Pluko if this is the case I would contact FI and ask for a refund. Its worth a try, no way can they allow you to buy a player you cannot sell, this is likely why the price has risen as nobody can actually sell them on! If you can't market sell they should not be availbale to buy.
-
@Pluko wow I've never seen this before, must be an error?
-
@Webbinho you can sell. it just has a sell price of 0p.
-
@Webbinho I wouldn't expect them to offer a refund because a trader made a bad buy. His sale price has been 0 for months. If someone buys him still that's on them I'm afraid.
-
@9stevo Not an error, his sale price went to zero when he first announced his retirement.
-
@NewUser303261 Fair enough with the IS, I understand they don't want to buy back, so they set at 0p - fine. However, how can FI sell something that is impossible to sell to somebody else, there should be a market sell option, if someone else wants to take the risk then they should be able to buy from others and not direct from FI. FI are only winners here as they receive 20p per share bought (as none can be market sold). If market sell is not available so should buying.
-
@Webbinho Market sale is possible. Some have managed to sell theirs on the market.
-
Thanks all! I’ll write it off as a lesson learnt and make sure I check sale price before buying!
-
@NewUser303261 based on screenshot above I don't believe this to be true?
-
@Webbinho Oh I missed that.
I know they were able to market sell, I believe Dan The Man amongst others managed this. Not sure why FI would have changed that.
-
@NewUser303261 I'm not saying his IS price being 0p is an error thats obviously right he's retired 😂 it must be an error that he has a buy price and you can't sell to market!!!
-
@NewUser408796 the official rules say this here https://www.footballindex.co.uk/stockmarket/policies/Game_Rules#Match
Retirement
When a footballer retires or passes away we will remove that footballer the day after the footballer retires or passes away from the Top 200 and/or the Squad Players. Your Bets will lapse, and you will not be able to place any further Bets on that footballer. If I were you, and I'd bought some and now couldn't sell them, I'd complain as it clearly states he should have been removed the day after he retired and he wasn't....
-
@NewUser408796 I bought 20 at0.20p didn’t move so I sold them to market1 hour later at 0.20p only lost minimal commission
-
@9stevo I still maintain that if you but a player that's retired and has a zero IS price it's your own fault.
-
@NewUser303261 oh I agree but the rules also clearly state that he should have been removed...
-
@Webbinho the price rose because people were dumb enough to read one article saying he just might miss football and return in a couple of months and jumped in to try and make a killing....but it bit them big time.
I don't mean to be harsh, but they're the facts. As for not being allowed to buy him....well, if you had bought Robben 6 months ago, would you not want to still be able to list him ?
