Players down as a striker that play in midfield?
Relatively new to FI but can someone explain what benefits there are to a player being assigned as a striker but actually plays in midfield or even as a wingback? Robert skov who plays for hoffenheim springs to mind. Is it just that they may place more passes and cross more so more PB points overall?
Thanks in advance.
@ScouseSte whereas sky sports app has it down as a 3-1-4-2, with him playing wide left midfield
@OldhamSam yeah, you're right it just means they're more likely to be involved in build up play and get a better pb score than if they play up top. Also worth looking at defenders who play further forward and get amongst the goals (2p ipd instead of 1p), someone like hakimi is a good example

@Ddr thanks for the clarification.
He’s definitely playing wing back tonight and not getting forward as much as I hoped but I supposed that’s what happens when your 3-0 up inside 25 minutes!

He scored a belter of a few kick as well which is a good sign for PB. and he's hit 157 at half time, which is really impressive. Could be on course for his 2nd PB win if the season
