Can you buy/sell players quickly after goals?
-
Hi, I'm new here and just seen Marcus Rashford's price rapidly increase due to a quick brace, which led me to wonder if scouting games and quickly buying players after they score and then selling them after the spike is a viable money making strategy?
Thank you.

@Nastache88 It's called flipping. You need to know what you're doing form wise, understand the spreads and watch out for commission before you even try.
Test out on a few 'hypothetical trades' without actually doing them to see if you have the knack.
I definitely don't. I'm happier with the long term approach.
-
@Nastache88 possible I guess but can easily get fingers burned.... I don't /won't buy players just for 1 game but I think a lot do
-
Wow 51p just because he's scored 2........ Football is a funny game u can be shit for 6 month and score and its all forgotten....... He's way way overpriced for me ad have him in £3-3.50 bracket.

@CleanShirtTrader commission is 2% right? So if he went up 20p after the goal then does the 2% come off the profit or overall price of player?
-
The key thing with Rashford's increase today is the the game is before 2pm and as its a high profile game he is likely to win MB if the result says the same. Not all players prices will go up 50p from 2 goals, this is very much a special case.
-
@Nastache88 2% of the price you sell for.

Total price of sale.

@Ozzlebert Sorry for all the questions, but what is the rule about 2pm?
-
@Nastache88 You can only win dividends on players bought before 2PM,
don't worry about asking questions, its a friendly forum, probably a few wondering the same thing!
-
@Ozzlebert ah ok thank you, if I'm correct in saying, dividends are rewards based off performance (which is separate to media buzz) paid to the best attacker, midfielder and defender?
-
@Nastache88 spot on, explained with a bit more detail here;

There are previous posts showing the scoring criteria as well.

I wish one of the moderators would allow us to stick this a few others at the top of the forum to help new users.

The key thing is it could lead to him playing a bigger role for united.
A 20 year old english striker in form leading the united and england attack would be a 10 quid goldmine easily. It would be the index jackpot. Obviously we are a country mile away from there, but its a good sign.
A lot of his price is reflective of the possibility he could be that .... so you are buying index potential rather than index actual.

I agree however maybe better without his full social media page especially the rats 🐀 climbing the kitchen wall into the ceiling 😂

Inplay trading takes a lot of Disciplin you need to stick to a plan and some rules but long term its profitable. One winning trade will usually wipe out five/six losing trades.

As I've said before if rashford plays up front week in week out he's a £7 player in the making. Just look at kane. Being an English goalscorer means a lot. Rashford is class and he's at the number 1 media club in the world.
Hopefully this will mean he gets a run back in the side infront then he'll be decent just in time for the world cup.
