Amazon Prime

Game changer?
Or just a way to hook us in at cheap prices then raise prices substantially?
-
@MrWh1te ?
-
Is there some sort of pundit cartel? Looking forward to seeing what Amazon would do . Jenas and fecking Shearer!
-
Loving the stats and highlights bar
-
This is going to be useless for quick football index trades, palace was 90 seconds behind the live action and the city game is about a minute behind.
-
@NallyCat futbol 24
-
@Feldy I know there's apps mate, I wanna watch the football without spoilers instead of being on an app waiting for updates, with sky/bt etc you're watching almost live or just a few seconds behind, with streaming it's way too much. Some traders will be listening on the radio/using apps instead of watching live to get an edge with these amazon fixtures, it's shit.
-
@NallyCat understand, Is it really that far behind? mine's showing same minute on sofascore as on amazon screen.
-
@NallyCat
From a gambling perspective, I agree, the match needs to be as close to live as possible.
Having previously made a bucket load of cash from in-play betting/gambling, I know the frustration of being even 5 seconds behind the rest.
But from a footballing purist perspective, the UHD picture quality is very impressive.
-
@Feldy I'm watching on my smart tv amazon app, my internet is apparently fast too so haven't had any buffering which could've affected it, how about you? Can anybody else say how far behind the live action their amazon is please?
-
@NallyCat no buffering here mate, watching on laptop. 21 seconds behind sofascore. too much for betting
-
No buffering here and my comp is quite a slow one.
I meant from a watching TV for pleasure rather than a betting point of view. If it works out, sky sports might need to go
-
I'm at sea level. The delay from kick off v bet365 was 30 secs as was the goal about the same as Sky. I've crap internet but picture quality very good. Better than Now TV on my tablet.
-
Potential game changer.
The way we watch tv is changing and I don't think SKY as we know it fits the new model.
-
Always wondered why the premier league wouldn’t just live stream the matches on their own website like Amazon are doing. Pay a tenner a month, have a 12 month contract and I reckon they would rake it in. Cut out the middle man.
-
Very impressive coverage. I had about 30 seconds where the sound went out of sync but it sorted itself.
Less impressive were the 2 letters and 3 emails I received beforehand from Amazon informing me my streaming device (Roku) was incompatible and offering me the once in a life time opportunity to get a prime stick for a mere £20. Thankfully I ignored them and watched it fine using said Roku.
-
I have Prime (for films and entertainment), but not Sky, so i’m loving the free live football this week!
-
@Alpilgrim @ocs123 how was the commentary and punditry?
-
My firestick is pretty old now is it better to buy the new 4k one or was the picture as good on older models?
-
@Black-wolf was it available on the fire stick? Didn’t watch any tonight, but wanna know for the United game tomorrow
