Share indexes and football clubs.

Would it be a good idea for Football Index to formulate an Index so that you could trade against the share price of various world football clubs . Don't know if this has come up before, apologies if it has.
-
@Me-Benidorm-lad might be a good idea, cant say ive ever seen anyone post this kind of idea...
.what would they pay dividends out on though? League match victories?
-
@Ddr The rise and fall of the share price on the indexes.
-
@Me-Benidorm-lad wouldnt work then, you trade the shares to get cap app hopefully, but youd need an underlying dividend structure to give a share any potential worth
-
@Ddr look how the spread betting companies do it. All you are doing is betting against the movement.
-
@Me-Benidorm-lad but then it's not set up like a stockmarket which is FIs major usp, it's just spread betting
-
You sort of have that already. You can go to a stock broker and have a portfolio of listed football clubs.
-
The ftse 100 might be for you

I don't know the exact mechanics of all this, but all I am saying is there a way to bet against the football clubs as well as the players using an outside agency as the spread.
