Sebastiano Esposito IPO

@johnboywalker And I guess Esposito at 20, which is three years time, could potentially still not be a main starter in a big side. Thanks for the explanation πŸ‘

On the flip side to that, being on the bench for Inter Milan and having the opportunity to start games at 17 is an indication that he is highly rated and could break into the team within 3 years.

There is no right or wrong answer in my opinion, could go either way and this is what makes the index great. Traders get to gamble on young prospects coming through and making an impact, or some like to stick to more proven talent.

Martinez - gonna get a lot of transfer spec in summer may not be there next season.
Sanchez - heading back to Old Trafford
Barbosa - sold to Flamengo today
Pinamonti - could be another season loaned out
    Giroud - hasn't signed yet.

Only guaranteed strikers a Inter next season I can see are Lukaku and Esposito. Now of course that won't be the case come the start of next season but there's nowhere near 6 in front of him :)

    Lukaku - certain starter
Martinez - will probably get transfer speculation, but unlikely to be sold. Highly likely to still be there next season
Sanchez - not heading back to Old Trafford while the summer
Barbosa - sold (fair enough) πŸ‘
Pinamonti - just as likely not to be loaned out
Giroud - not been signed YET, but it's an open secret they want him & if they have just sold Barbosa today, they now will have the funds to go & get the deal done

Esposito could be waiting in line for a while yet.

This kid could be the real deal. In my Footie manager 2020 league, he turns out to be one of the best players in world football ... but that is not reality. I wouldn't be surprised if he was loaned out to get regular game time and aid his development.

I'm pretty sure if you asked any manager in world football whether they would rather have (at this precise moment) Chiesa or Esposito, they would all pick Chiesa.

I would bet my house that Chiesa will move to a bigger club than Fiorentina. He scored and assisted twice in the most recent Italy game against Armenia. This time last year, he scored a hatrick in a 7-1 Coppa Italia demolition of Roma.

Who knows where Esposito will end up. Has anyone actually watched this lad play week in/week out, or are we all investing our life savings based on a few youtube compilation videos. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

I don't hold Chiesa or Esposito, so have no vested interest in either player.

  • @johnboywalker

Ive watched a lot of him, he is very talented and excelled in youth football. This is why he has been promoted and "IF" you genuinely are interested, for a fee, I will compile a report for you. :)

Also, the FM editor is an excellent scouting tool, I cannot speak highly enough of the data in the tool, and their P.A ranges are getting more and more accurate. Esposito is a -9 on FM, which is excellent.

I also hold neither of them like you, but it is clear Chiesa is destined for bigger and better.

I am shit with prices at the best of times, so I prefer not to comment on that, but Esposito has the talent and potential to evolve into possibly a better player than Chiesa. Whether hewill or not is a completely unknown and Chiesa is a high level to catch and surpass.

  • First IPO experience today, flipped 700 for minimal profit, keping the other 500 at a buy price of 2.22.

Lots of links with a potential parma loan for esposito if giroud comes in. If conte doesnt take the europa seriously and concentrates on the league should get some game time there. In his 1 start this season he would have scored 187 on the pb matrix without a gwg had he already been ipod. That will do. That would already be chiesas 3rd highest pb score for their respective clubs. Chiesas top score is only 12 points ahead too and both of his top scores came with a gwg @johnboywalker.

Hear the same argument about Barrenetxea vs oyarzabal. Barrenetxeas 30 minutes off the bench the other day hammers all but 1 of oyarzabals pb scores this season. In 30 minutes! Oyarzabals top score came with a gwg too wheras Barrenetxeas does not.

In this market based on nutty speculation where not having a picture seems to add Β£1.50 to everyones buy price, at least with this guy and Barrenetxea we have a slither of evidence they might not be too bad for pb if they are given some opportunities. Small sample sizes, and maybe they could just be anomalies but given their ages but its perfectly reasonable for both of them to be valued higher than the players they are being compared to given the forces driving the market atm. The sample sizes for the experienced players are quite large now.

  • @dionysusthyrsus

I didn't know he would have scored 187 in that start. That's impressive without a GWG, and is making me second guess whether I should have kept some shares rather than flipping them all.

  • @ScoutScout 0_1580229413522_upload-48230286-4061-476b-b83f-3ec5296b53ec

That was the biggest reason i kept some back. Hope he gets a start either tomorrow night in the coppa italia or in Martinez absence at the weekend too.

  • @dionysusthyrsus @ScoutScout his pb potential does look promising, in the scouting report link I provided earlier in the thread it says his set piece taking (direct and indirect specialist) is very strong and one of his best assets which can only be a good sign for his pb potential.

This score of 187, where did this come from?

Are you referring to the 4-0 win against Genoa in December 2019?

If so, here are his stats from sofa score. I'm not sure these stats would add up to 187 ... πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

  • @johnboywalker See above. The data comes from index gain and they are partnered with opta so no reason as to why this wouldnt be true.

Cheers, just noticed the screenshot you posted.

Can you understand why I am questioning the score? Even with my limited mathematical ability, the numbers don't seem to add up.

Are you able to tally it up just to confirm. I noted from the screenshot, he was marked as getting a 'CS' which I assume is clean sheet, yet he wouldn't be eligible for that.

  • SofaScore doesn't show all the things that you can get points for on the matrix. Corners won ,recoveries, big chance created etc.

    I appreciate that.

If you have access to index gain, are you able to breakdown his score for me and confirm that 187 is accurate. I seem to be quite a bit off 187 without having the full stats at my disposal.

Even if you could screenshot the full index gain stats and I'll try and work it out myself.

    CheersπŸ‘

  • @johnboywalker

Maybe @dionysusthyrsus will do that for you :)

  • @johnboywalker On the ball, well spotted, just got confirmation from bishop that is not added to the overall score was just because he had played 90. iv just been through a couple of other reports too and clean sheets is a metric that is tallied up there too without accrediting incorrect positions the points so its totally normal. Never paid too much attention to it given i rarely hold defenders.

The scout reports only contain limited data, the full breakdown of the opta reports can only be accessed on there for players already on the platform. but these the numbers they do have. And without a clean sheet it would still be chiesas 3rd highest score for his club this season. Looks like he might have been on corners that game too as @NallyCat alluded to earlier which is even more exciting.

So what are we saying, that the index gain data for players not already on the index is flawed and potentially wrong? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

For anybody that gives a shit, I've broken down the score of Esposito from that game, based on the index gain data provided and also info from sofascore.

The score I came up with is 150.

    Win +18
    Goal +45
    Shots +9
    Shots on target +10
    Passes +28
    Key passes +12
    Giveaway pass -21
    Cross +21
    Accurate cross +4
    Ball recoveries +12
    Corners won +10
    Tackles +9
    Fouls made -10
    Fouled +8
    Offside -5

    Depends who's wearing them!

  • @johnboywalker How can their data be wrong when the people who provide them with it are also the people who power the FI matrix? Opta partner with both platforms. So why would you be right and opta be wrong?

Right, so you are saying that 187 is the correct score then?

If so, break it down for me. Make me believe. Don't just tell me I'm wrong. Prove it to me.

I'm not trying to be difficult and I'll happily accept 187 as fact if I am provided with hard evidence.

  • @johnboywalker I have no access to every opta powered number, but index gain does given they are in partnership with it. If you trust yourself more than you trust them then thats fine. To each their own.

i dont have time to bust my balls doing that its why i pay another platform to do it for me, i trust it given they partnered with the very people who run the matrix, if you dont thats your choice. As much as i can tell you have just picked up pieces from multiple fragmented jigsaws to prove a point. Well done, point well made.

If its wrong fair play to you, if you have direct access to opta to prove you were right fair play to you. In the meantime ill put my trust in those that do have direct access to opta. I dont know everything and i dont care to when i can pay someone else to know it all for me. iv no interest in conspiracy theorys or wondering if the earth is flat. I will trust the authority and more fool me if im wrong, i just dont care enough.

And btw that score is still chiesas 3rd highest by a distance for his club. in 1 start and without a gwg. It would be chiesas highest score for his club without a gwg even if you were right.
