Will Football Index recover from this Corona virus period?
-
@D-man Of course, when it is all clear and football starts again. Just need to adapt with the times for the immediate period ahead.
-
Yes......
-
Already has... Footie was up yesterday and will be up again today.
-
Of course. Football index as a whole has nothing to recover from. The media area of the market is booming and that same money and dividends earned will go back into the rest of the market over time. A more appropriate question might of been will my portfolio recover? The index is healthy actually a lot healthier than other sports betting sites just now.
FI is to the gambling community what gold is to the stock market
-
Yeah it reacted quickly with a clever promotion where they didn’t go all in, but just enough to spike interest. They still have flexibility to go to 5 places given they did this last year.
-
It will recover, however it will interesting to see what happens when they switch the IS back on again.
it looks like they are doing it in short interval bursts as i did see some sells go through earlier today.
One things is for sure, its probably currently performing better than any of the investment markets around the world
-
FI has acted well, in what is an unparalleled situation.
Plenty of updates/announcements.
Bonus offer and double Divs to try and reassure people and keep money in the index.
Increasing spreads when people were losing their sh1t a little.
Media announcement as soon as the football was cancelled.
Well done FI 👍
-
Brilliant so far by FI considering the unprecedented and mental news
If they come through this pretty well then I see massive growth, not only from existing but also new investors - gambler
-
There are a lot of gamblers out there missing their football... Great time to advertise the index with its daily mb pay out. It will be competitors struggling the most... Will Footstock recover? Etc.
-
@King-Fergus Agreed. Totally extreme circumstances that are unlikely to happen again, or for a long time, and it’s come up with back up plans.
-
@Westy yeah I feel for footstock ive kept my small fund in it seems wrong to cash out hope they survive
-
@D-man Yes, and so will the world.

My Footstock has actually went up a bit. Not sure if people are teading more on it to play the pvp games on it. I only use the market on it so ive rarely used it lately im just hoping it booms one day and im quids in
-
Recover! My portfolio is at record levels with over 12 months playing. As they said in Point Break "This is beautiful ".
-
Slightly silly question - you might as well be asking the question will football be cancelled forever? If the answer to that is yes, then of course the football index is finished for good. If the answer is no - it’s a matter of time and patience. This Covid-19 is arguably the most wild of external factors imaginable affecting the market. I am 28 and cannot remember the last time football was shut down. It won’t later forever. Football won’t stop forever so the index will not be done forever.
-
Sorry didn't want to sound arrogant but I planned and the plan came off.

You don’t sound arrogant my ‘great white’ friend. You are one of the only people on the index making sense right now.
-
@LittleFish you don’t sound arrogant, you just sound like a douche bag. I’ve seen loads of posts from you about record rises of your port and screen shots of big rises. Yawn. When things aren’t going well you piss and whinge about the cheap players undermining value. Bad loser and bad winner.
-
@NewUser412886 bit harsh. I don't suppose you want to see my dividends payout from last night?
