Mauro Icardi - The David Beckham Route
-
Bear with me guys!
So, according to reports from The Reliable Sun, Icardi has had his PSG contract terminated because of his outspoken wife who runs his career, who is also his agent.
Now, David Beckham's wife ran his life, so much so that he had loan spells at Milan and Paris for his wife to further her links in the fashion world and in two of Europe's biggest cities for fashion before dragging him off to LA.
Now, Mr Icardi may be a bit young for the semi retirement of MLS, but with boxes Paris and Milan ticked, who's to say London, if not England, isn't the next move for Mrs Icardi to further her fashion interests and tick another box??
-
@Lukeroro arsenal please.
-
LA is fashionable I suppose.... 🤔

Big transfer kitty once Auba has been sold?
-
@Lukeroro auba, Lacca, ozil, mustafi, sokratis, luiz, mhkitaryn, elneny can all go.
-
Aside from Auba and maybe Ozil, who would spend money on the others?!
-
Ozil would be perfect for the MLS.
10-20 games per season, plenty of time off to recover from all those terrible colds he suffers from.
-
@Lukeroro I'd imagine there would be a lot of takers for Lacazette too.
I can't picture Icardi at Arsenal though. He's more likely to sign for a lesser club, like Tottenham 👀🃏

-
@ChazFI123 you make it sound like he's been awful this season when he hasn't.
EPL stats: 0.35 goals a game (overall also 0.35)
Last season: 0.37 goals a game (overall 0.39)
I'm sure if Arsenal were to sell there would be plenty of good clubs who wanted him
-
@dean73 he’s lost his place to a 20 year old this season 😂 last year there were rumours of Barcelona. None of the other big clubs in England would sign him. I’d be surprised if someone was willing to pay over £30/35 million for a 29 year old who’s lost his place in the side
-
I have bought a minimal amount of shares in Icardi since they terminated his contract. Put him on watch list to monitor how he is doing. I think he may be near his lowest value right now.
He hit £2.16 last year so there will probably be some rises in his value to exit.
-
@ChazFI123 He is 27 mate, so still a couple of years before he becomes an FI OAP.
-
@Kipper72 he’s born 28/05/1991 so he’ll be 29 before the transfer window.

Nketiah's started 3 games, stop making stuff up.
-
The thing with Icardi is he was absolute fire before Christmas. I think his Mrs waffle gave PSG the chance to pie him off but before Christmas he was in serious form, as you can see below:
And @ChazFI123 , says on Soccerway that he's born 1993:
-
@dean73 you wouldn’t say being on the bench behind someone for the last 3 PL games in a row is losing your place? Or were they saving him for the next round of the Europa league...
Started 1 in 4 games before the league stopped, 2 starts in 6, if that’s not losing your place what is??
-
@Lukeroro I’m talking about lacazette not Icardi 😂
I’m sure someone would take a chance on him, only thing I’d say about him is it always seems to not work out for him for some reason. When he signed for PSG everyone was saying about how amazing he’d be, getting signed this summer by them etc. But it doesn’t seem like that’s happened, good player and could be very good for FI if he ends up in the right environment
-
@ChazFI123 more that just a few games to count as having "lost his place this season".
Surely that's not difficult to understand, although apparently for you it is.
-
@dean73 okay so Joe Willock has started the same amount of games in the last 6 games arsenal have played, is he first choice?
If you can give me a logical reason as to why Lacazette is not starting the majority of Arsenal’s most recent games then I’ll admit he hasn’t lost his place. And why would I talk about any other season? Nketiah was on loan for half of this season too!
