The Return Of Bundesliga. Latest Updates From Germany. Bundesliga Resumes!!🎉.
-
Bundesliga have been the first league to come out and give an idea of a return. Teams are in training. Things are geared up for a return next month. Once we get a date I guess Bundesliga players are going to take off. Are our ports all Bundesliga ready?
-
@Dalian-Smith
All ready and waiting!
German Holds
Jonathan Tah, Ozan Kabak, Joshua Zirkzee, Suat Serder, Niklas Sule, Mario Gotze, Filip Kostic, Milot Rashica, Kai Havertz, Serge Gnabry, Timo Werner, Marcel Sabitzer and Lukas Klostermann.
-
Here's Round 32. One would assume they would resume the original schedule.
-
For the country that claims to be ‘über alles’, they sure are making a grave mistake doing this...
-
@Dalian-Smith
I’ve got the likes of Max, Mateta, Geiger, Arnold and Shlager. Think they’re all in Germany off the top of my head. Whether or not a Max or somebody could gatecrash a Euros squad could be a bonus!
-
Has anybody got any idea why Jan Fiete Arp has risen so much this month? Surely he won't get a look in at Bayern? I must be missing something.
-
It seems a month too soon, in my opinion.
They would be better off staying in lock down and only returning with behind-closed-doors matches in June and July.
-
@Sol my port still has quite a heavy Bundesliga bias so this would benefit me, but I'll believe this when I see it. This date is almost certainly going to slide. What's the source @Dalian-Smith?
Germany is a federal state, therefore guidelines from one state to another vary. We think our guidelines are lax, but the Germans lockdown advice dont even have a uniform set. What they do appear to have is a low (but rising) death rate, relative to their and the rest of Europes infection rates.
Heres an article from yesterday saying Germany had its highest 24 hour death toll the previous day
Heres an article from the day before saying it had the highest number of new confirmed cases
Were told that we may have reached our peak and the question is now how long till the curve starts going downwards. It seems from the reading I've been doing, that the Germans may still be some way off their peak. Their testing is described as 'meticulous' which will probably not suprise anyone, but this plan to resume footy in May seems to be both ambitious and dangerous.
Some professor named Hendrick Streek has claimed that they are close to herd immunity and therefore the lockdown can be gradually eased, citing dates which broadly correlate to this footy plan. The same guy, in his 'Heisenberg study' has claimed that he does not believe shopping is 'especially risky'. Meanwhile Angela Merkel, the actual shot caller, has called these claims 'potentially reckless'.

@Dalian-Smith
I think he has an impressive youth international scoring record so people are... gambling. Typically I debated and didn’t purchase. Story of my FI journey so far!
-
@MickTurbo The source is in my original post. Bundesliga are planning for resumption but as with England the government will ultimately decide what happens.
-
@PaulM Willem Geubbels price is a bit like that. Spikes regularly for no reason. I guess you can't go wrong with youth sometimes.
-
@Dalian-Smith Read a Q&A with Rafa Honigstein this week and he was asked about Arp. He said that Arp is miles away from playing in the first team atm.
Honigstein is a massive Bayern fan and has all the contacts there.Edit: Q&A was from The Athletic on the 13th of March
-
@Gregolocky It's a bit telling that Zirkee is often given the nod over Arp and he's a teenager. Feel for Arp. I don't think Bayern was the best move for him.
-
Anybody got any feelings on Hannes Wolf? He looks a good price for a 20 year old at one of Germany's leading clubs. The injury wasn't a good start to his time at Leipzig but he's available now. Is he upto to it though?

Here's a thought, if the Bundesliga returns earlier then other leagues could we see double Divs for IPDs and silver days become Gold etc?
Happened in March with reduced fixtures.
-
@DW
Don't see why not. Would certainly bring football back with a bang and would only be what they'd have potentially be paying out for next round of Champions League/Europa League, that are well on the back burner at the moment.
-
@DW Possibly. I think Germany look to be quite away in front of other PB countries in their handling of virus. Bundesliga are likely to be standalone for quite a few weeks/months before other leagues resume/conclude. So double divs wouldn't cost as much as a full European programme. Alot of traders with pb holds looking to get some trades going I'm sure.
-
I think all this is far from certain really but already had big holds in Gnabry, Sabitzer, Gotze, Tah, Hinteregger and Geis. Just flung another grand in and split it between Demirbay and Klostermann. 2 players I want for my port long term anyway, plus theres the 8.25% bonus so i thought I may as well act now.
-
What's the deal with Mario Gotze? Another one trading well. Is it just the Liverpool rumours.
