Incorrect purchase price for my shares...help
-
Basically:
About a month ago I bought 50 of Max. He was 97p at the time.
Today I bought 49 shares of Max. His price was £1,12p
50 x 0.97 = £48.5
49 x 1.12 = £54.88Therefore 99 shares at a total of £103.38
Average price of = £1.044Does the average price round down? As far as I’m aware, it does. My value says £1.05 not £1.04. The price of Max didn’t change whilst buying, I had the price change option unselected.
So is this right ?

@KingJimoT it’s an known issue for the displayed price just message CS they sort it within a few hours
-
@Sav2000 I’ve messaged and they’re pretty much dodging the question, implying I bought him at 1.13. How on earth am I gonna convince them. It’s £2 we’re talking about here but every little helps 😭😭
-
@KingJimoT have you checked your transaction history
-
Yeah he might have gone up in price as you bought him
-
@Sav2000 I deselected the option saying accept price movement. I bought him at 1.12. My history says I was charged for 1,13. Dunno if they’ll change it or not :/ may aswell try, seemed like a genuine error.

Why does it matter what it says? Especially if we’re talking a fraction of a penny. The only thing that makes is a difference is the cash that left your balance when you bought him, and the cash you get paid back when you sell him.

@Coleyscrooge the cash amounts to a share price of 1.13. So I guess there’s no changing that then ?
