How Many Players Have You Had Go 100% ROI In Last 12 Months?(Poll)

  • Alot of what I hear on social media is folk saying they sell around the 30-50% ROI. I'm interested to hear those who sit it out to the bitter end through the ups and downs. Please don't include IPOS. I'm sure we've all had 💯 IPOs.😉

  • I've had 11+, but I have a large port so that makes it easier.

  • There's a chap on Twitter who has a large portfolio which he looks to have sat on for the last few years. He's got alot of 100% players. It appears to be a strategy of buying pretty much everyone and sitting on them. It looks to be working so fair play.

  • Banned

Currently 3/12 but I have had a few more such as Tammy Abraham who I have sold already.

  • 18/82 and probably bout the same number in the red

  • I had two.

Hwang Hee-Chan I sold at exactly 100% and his price went onto more than double again to 400% (bought 28p, sold 56p, peaked £1.40, currently £1.30). Sometimes my best trade, sometimes my worst.

Halstenberg I bought at 40p, topped up a few times and he went onto double in price. During his recent dip I topped up again and am no longer at 100%. This was the trade that changed my thoughts on the 100% club.

Stupid to stick to the original number of shares if you know the price will rise further, better to fuck up your average buy price but have a larger hold. Mentally it is tough to pay £1+ for a player that you bought, and hold, at 40p but it is tougher to know he is a £1.75+ player but refuse to buy more of.

Well if you look at how the index has grown, it is a very solid strategy. It is basically my strategy - I buy players from all leagues/positions/teams/age range and diversify as much as possible, within my much more limited budget to the likes of Don. I tend to make decisions and stick with them - I don't sell on peaks, or panic on troughs. With a £7k portfolio for 17 months I've only paid £90 commission (but gained £780 so far in dividends and bonuses).

In that time I've doubled my initial core investments, and as I said I've added more recently as I have a bit of spare cash now most of my costly travel plans this year have been cancelled.

Generally from looking at posts on here and social media, the impression I get is that those who do the 'sit and ride' strategy tend to do better long term than those who constantly chop and change and trade. A few get it right and make a lot more, but I think the majority don't (and it is a lot more time investment too).

But FI would make bugger all money and collapse if everybody was like me haha.

  • 9 but I'm almost certain it'd be more if I hadn't topped up on certain holds that were doing well and hence increased my average buy price.

  • patience really is a virtue round here, most of these i sold half when i hit 100% so the other half are free rolling, held onto TAA till 200% i think before selling 1/3 of him, still hold most if not all the players posted, oh and all will have been mentioned here on these forums so if at any time in the last 15ish months you pumped any of them i may have you to thank so cheers !

  • Not something I chase... I typically prefer many 5-10% rises... But easily 10+ in last 12 months. El Ghazi was definitely the most exciting 🎉 ibrahimovic the most obvious

  • @Dalian-Smith zakaria 200% and rising 👍, pasalic nearing 100%, never sell unless I feel they have reached near their peak and go with gut feeling, sold a few far to early and held some for bit to long

  • Cherki and Castagne.

Both sold now and haven't gone up too much in the months since so no regrets yet,

  • Really interesting seeing some of your guys long term holds. I'm torn what to do when football resumes as to what strategy I adopt next. I've dipped in and out of some massive players. I'm on the forum somewhere raving about Haland way before he was on anybody's radar when he got those 10 goals in a game in the youth world cup. I did ok out of him but I got out out around the £2 mark. If only I had a little patience there. Been quite a few others too.

Lots of food for thought coming out from my recent polls.

  • I have had far more 100%ers than I currently have now. Some awful trading from me has led to me keeping hold too long and losing that 100% (parejo, a gomez, luis alberto, di maria, kroos)

Others that I actually sold at 100% - mount, greenwood, verrati

  • Voted 1-5. Isak osimhen Odegaard pavard TAA. Definitely had others but names escape me
