  • @IRISHFI Great listen.

Credit to yourself and @THE FIG for continuing to produce quality content during the lockdown and keeping us entertained.

Good choice of guest. I'm one of these with a high number of players but low quantities in my portfolio (currently 299) so I can relate to the guest.

I would like to ask (I couldn't see him post on the forum?)

He talked about 6 year bets (3 year hold + traders buying for 3 years), so considering he is in the same position as myself and now two years into most of his holds, does he only intend to renew at the end of the 3 year and what is his strategy for doing so? Market listing then would be risky, and IS undesirable due to the spreads. Is he relying on order books to manage it all?

In regards to the above, a large part of my portfolio only has a year remaining. With the uncertainty surrounding the current season, postponememt of the Euros, the economy, FI in general and being stuck at home, I've taken this opportunity where the market is booming to list and renew a large part of my portfolio. A bit of a challenge tracking it all if I'm honest. Good progress so far though. I wonder about how others are doing this, especially the likes of Big Don?

Remember the Salah media train well. The Champions League final 2018 was brilliant as my first big FI experience as well (not at the time as I hold Salah but looking back it all turned out fine). We shouldn't overlook the Bale goal as well! Then the World Cup and finding those hidden gems.

I'm very much in the 'small but regular dividends' boat as well.

Thanks again. I'll look him up and see if I can ask him.

  • @Metropolis cheers for that! I’ll forward this on to him and tell him to get a move on signing up for the forum! πŸ˜‚

  • @Metropolis If you've got time on your hands then may be worth downloading your Transactions history and getting them all sorted out, although sounds you've made some good progress already.

I always thought they would (continue) to let the three year rule quietly slip until they had expiry date notifications in place (something they've called a "priority" for some time now), but now I'm not so sure whether they will start just removing them.

See what you make of this thread. Don makes an appearance. Can only imagine there will be uproar if that did happen (although apparently applies to very few shares).

  • @Keegans-Bluff Thanks mate. I'll give that a read.

I think there was something in the recent announcements, or more likely the revised Terms and Conditions which we had to accept on the app, about FI intending to implement the three year expiry. This made me think at the time that they won't just let it role over and I should take action.

Have downloaded the transaction history. Its the sales trickling into the market which drive me crazy.

  • @Metropolis yep, i noticed that too on the new T&C (although guess they have to say that regulation wise) and I've read something elsewhere (possibly that thread) about them advising it would be on you to know when your shares expire. I'd still be surprised indeed if they started removing shares without any notice or ability to track on website or app, but it certainly would be very profitable for them.

  • @IRISHFI
I'm 11. Podcasts in still loving the freestyle, raw, genuine feel with nice amount of expletives thrown in..

But I feel you need to get some T-shirts done of your Podcast 'Nemesis' .....
