Noticed a few people have now included their personal FI holds beneath their posts and was wondering what was the motivation to do it?
- To advertise their players?
- So others can see who they invest in to get a sense of the type of trader they are?
- For full disclosure to limit any "pump" type posts or ulterior motives?
After considering it there's really no down side so I'm joining this trend!
-
I personally do it so anyone can see who I hold, as I comment on a lot of players.
Full transparency and all that
-
my question would be how do you do it?
-
@Gary-T Click on profile (top right) and it is there
-
@Wiillaah saw it as a good idea so show some transparency when I comment on players I own and don’t own.
-
I quite like the transparency, and it's interesting to see what kind of traders different people are
-
@MrWh1te couldn't find it and I am of a certain age where it needs step by step instructions to get me through it. lol
-
@Gary-T click the G in top right corner, and then click edit profile and there's a box called 'signature'
-
Thanks got it now
-
@Wiillaah
I updated mine yesterday, for transparency reasons. I comment quite a bit on players who I rate/don’t rate so useful to show my biggest holds. That said, I have 50 players in my portfolio so too many to post all the names.

Eric could just put Sancho, TAA etc in his signature and carry on bashing them then claim its objective as he holds them.
-
@Vespasian32 well yeah we all know who’s talking shot in there Signatures! Also he reads the space for his god complex crap 🤔
-
I think it worked??
-
I'm always impressed people can fit their portfolio in the signature, no way I'd be able to.

All of the above. I think whatever opinions people have its more valued when we know their position regarding that player

Big increase in this lately, undecided personally on if i think its worthwhile or not. Like vesp says, you could easily just lie about who you hold. If you're an honest and objective poster, then you're an honest and objective poster. I try to be that so dont really feel its necessary. Having said that I may still add mine at some point, nowt to hide, and what harm can it do
-
@MickTurbo vesp is a short term trader and is open about it so it wouldn't be of much benefit to him as he would be changing it constantly. Over time you will get to recognise peoples ports and if they are honest you will be able to ask “what made you sell” or “i see you have bought” quite often we see people pumping players to the hilt and then nothing which is fine i dont mind players being pumped but im not a fan of people pumping players they have in the sell queue and although this wouldn't really prevent it, it does offer a bit more transparency and insight into trading behaviour

About time i joined the party
-
Hmm with my 164 players I'll probably give the sig a miss...

I use mine for simple advice. Take it or leave it.
