UEFA Reportedly Considering Using PPG To Determine Final League Standings

Surely it would just 3nd on current standings then, unless theres a team I the relegation zone somewhere with 7 games in hand
-
@MickTurbo Not all teams have played the same ammount of games hence this formula.
-
@MickTurbo pretty sure in the PL the standings wouldn't change, as is it Villa have a game in hand but they wouldn't gain any points with it.
-
Can't find the Yes or No vote to answer this one ;-)
-
@Millerman I was tempted. Just a bit busy.
-
Not a particular fan of this method if it got used, would be more into it if they used some sort of fixture difficulty mechanism. As one team could've played the top 6 in their last 6 games, which is why their average points is lower

@Dalian-Smith
Ultimately I don’t think that this is fair because not all teams will have played the same amount of home/away games.
Also some teams may have played what were in theory easier fixtures. It’s also impossible to calculate how being in a relegation battle can effect a team or how Norwich might perform against other teams if they’d already been relegated.
Unless everybody has played each other home/away it just isn’t fair... but are there fairer alternatives???!

@Dalian-Smith yeah i heard something about this yesterday think i posted it in the germany returning thread. Apparently this will be UEFA sorting method for incomplete leagues. May seem unfair but at least they have a plan in place

It's only on table because UK seems way behind the likes of Germany. The government testing regime for key workers today starting to look a bit farcical. It's hard to see Premier League getting to the Bundesliga stage anytime soon.
