Moussa Dembele

Nice to see him rising well after holding at a loss for some time now. What's people thoughts on his potential price/destination etc?
No politics or OB discussion just Moussa discussion please. 😂
-
Hadn't bothered reading the articles as thought it'd just be the same as the usual stuff...wow that's a lot of money if true. Might slight worry is he's only produced in France and Scotland, but apparently the Ighalo deal is looking less likely so this might make more sense
-
@ChazFI123 Money seems about right, Chelsea had a £45m bid in Jan rejected IIRC.
-
@London-Is-Blue I'm more querying if I think he's worth that much, I don't get why they'd agree to pay more money for him, before activating Werner's release clause, but we'll see!
-
Wouldnt believe a word from the source, tier 5 would be generous lol
-
@ChazFI123 I have no idea what he is worth but in Jan pretty sure they wanted 70-90m for him so technically it's a bargain they must be using the match engine!
Yeah Werner is the safer bet IMO as well.
-
Can’t see this deal happening...
Not a single word from both clubs
-
@ChazFI123 Dembele is more of an out and out striker than Werner isnt he? I think Man utd need that more than another winger personally
-
Lukaku light (from a Football perspective)
Probably keep going up until the deal doesn't happen from a Football Index perspective.
-
@Splurger_Dan I get what you mean, I just think Werner's more proven and would cost less money. Plus I think he's a striker who can play out wide rather than a natural winger, I don't think Martial is the answer long term at number 9 so I think they'll definitely spend big on a striker in the next few windows.
-
I know ole likes him from what I’ve read over the past two years but apparently man united have had a number of chances to sign him which they haven’t taken , I baught into these pretty much exact same roumours last year and nothing come off I think Dembele would love a move to old Trafford and united would welcome him but I think the price tag is a bit off before the pandemic maybe €70m definitely not now I think Chelsea valuation of €45m in January seems like a fair price now
-
@ChazFI123 As a utd fan I would rather have Werner but I think we need a proper focal point no9 more. I agree Martial is not the answer, I think he will thrive when theres not so much pressure on him. Also I would rather have Sancho than Werner 100%, nice problems to have!
One way or another I see Dembele moving to a big club in the next window.
Anyone like to make a prediction on his price if its Man utd or at Chelsea?
-
I don't hold Ighalo but if 'Dembele' does go through 🤞 that's alot of peoples shares down the toilet with no way of selling atm 😲.
-
Thing is he's never won PB in France, peak score of 181. Realistically his PB probably won't improve in a harder league, so he'll probably be a purely MB hold. I'm sure he'll win his fair share of MB, especially at United but if he joins Chelsea I don't see why he'd be more expensive than Abraham really

Your correct but the danger was obvious, exit was always key. Personally I thought Ighalo looked great and his attitude I would love to see him kept as a back up striker/squad player and definitely need to bring in a top striker anyway. I think Rashford, Martial and possibly Greenwood will thrive more playing wide especially with a decent no 9 to play off.

Yeah I'm thinking the same regards PB and will be happy to sell when transfer is confirmed. I think theres still plenty of room for growth.

£60m for an uncapped flat track bully? Am I missing something here, why would Utd buy another potential player at that cost, he's not proven yet is he. Nice rumour though for the holders.
-
@Splurger_Dan £4-£4.30
-
@Harford-is-God they paid that for fred🤷♂️. The rumours were there in January aswel so I dont think it's out the blue
-
@Lloyddavies happy with that but if he goes Utd I think he'll clear that
