Guerreiro (bundesliga pb players)

Guerreiro- 1.53 peak of 1.80. Won pb this season as a midfielder, 17 bundesliga starts 5 goals and 2 assists not bad for a wingback. Avg SofaScore rating 7.24 one of the highest in bundesliga. Top 5 pb scores: 260, 222, 203, 196 and 189. These scores should be enough to win most game days imo. Also, classified as a mid only has the possibility of incurring a positive position change to defender and should get that imo if skov is a defender. On some set pieces if I’m correct but that may be wrong tbh. Also, 26 with euros and World Cup for Portugal at left back with the occasional transfer links and I could see him leaving Dortmund at some point.

@Jdog I could be massively wrong, but I thought Guerreiro has only recently got changed? So I’d be surprised if he’s changed back

Has his position changed twice in the last 9 months or so? I bought him mid-January this year and I was sure he was a defender then? Maybe I am going mad!!
Anyway, I really like him for the reasons you've outlined (predominantly because he is on set pieces, has decent PB scores, contributes going forwards and should be at the Euros) but I was toying with the idea of selling up when his position was changed to midfield because he's now competing with Sancho and Hakimi (who has also been reclassified as a midfielder frustratingly) for PB.
In the end, decided to keep for a bit to see how he does. Now that Bundesliga is back, and the other leagues aren't, I'll definitely be keeping at least in the short term.

In which case, it's worth pointing out that Hakimi has been reclassified as a Midfielder too since Guerreiro won PB so he'll have to compete with him until at least the end of this season. I hold Hakimi too so doesn't worry me but just something to be conscious of if you're thinking short term.

@Vaughany guerreiro is the best value pb option at Dortmund for me, I agree there’s competition but there is at every top team tbh

No doubt. It’ll be interesting to see if one or both of Sancho and Hakimi are playing elsewhere next season.If so, Guerreiro will be even more appealing then if there’s less midfielder PB competition at Dortmund. That’s not to say they won’t bring in replacements but you’d fancy Guerreiro to still be one of the main men.
