Huge EasyJet data breach...
-
Just wondering whether we would be safe if say somehow criminals managed to do the same here. I’ve got quite a bit in this product and it would be devastating if something were to happen.
-
I think your just at risk here as with any other company you transact online with. It's a weird link to make, what specifically has got you worried about this databreach in relation to FI to say any other major one in the past few years?
-
It was just a hypothetical question.

Seems a bit clickbaity! 🤣
My assumption would be that if FI were at fault and you were able to back up with bank statements the worst case scenario is that you'd be reimbursed your stake.

FI should definitely have 2 factor authentication available tbh. I've asked but CS responded telling me I can use fingerprint to log in, doubt it got passed on to someone who understood what I was getting at.

2-step authentication is available on the app but not directly on the website.

@Londoner ah I see, would that protect us in the event of a data breach?

No software system is completely hack-proof, but 2-step makes it extremely unlikely.
-
@Londoner But if they had passwords for the website?

There is passwords on the website, but not 2-step.

@Lukeroro Clickbaity? Not quite sure what you’re implying. I was simply questioning the security on this site. I do have a genuine concern that if passwords are hacked then the account can be accessed. There’s nothing else to protect us apart from a single password.
-
@TeamGB clickbait defined: a headline, link or thread title that convinces you to click on it due to the dramatic nature of the title only to be proved exaggerated or irrelevant to the actual content.
Yes, if FI get hacked we're buggered.
Yes, Easyjet probably sold the data as all airlines are buggered and then cried wolf.

@Lukeroro Glad you agree there’s a high risk if passwords are hacked. Not sure why you feel the need to try to undermine someone by posting a definition of a word. If it makes you feel good then fair enough.
