I could be completely wrong mate, but this is not how it will work.
As a seller, your only choice is to accept the instant sell price, which is determined by an average price of 300 of the highest buy bids for the player.
So for Thauvin, if I put in a buy bid of £2.00, and several other users put in buy bids between 2.00 and 2.20, then you will get an average instant sell price between those amounts.
Does that make sense?

Yep I think you are right . So realistically to put some feelers out on here you really need a minimum of 300 shares to be selling or buying .
Have I got that right??

@Spot-the-value. I think @johnboywalker is right but you can sell a single share still.
I'll run with the example of the offers between £2 & £2.20 so let's say IS is set at £2.10. The average of the best offers upto 300 shares. You sell 100, they are matched presumably to the highest bids in that £2-£2.20 range.
So say the remaining 200 average out at £2.13. The next best offer is £1.80 for 100 shares. The IS price for the top 300 will become a calculation as follows
200(2.13)+100(1.80)=606÷300=202
So once your 100 have gone @£2.10, the IS price will move to £2.02 in this example
This may be the answer to the question nobody asked on reflection 🤷♂️

But if say I offered to buy 300 shares at £2.20 the instant sell price would be £2.20 .
Is that correct . Because that would be the average of the first 300 shares in the buy queue.
Obviously assuming £2.20 was the highest bid .

At the moment in this early ME start up .
But in time you will be able to put up buy offers and sell offers and then we will have a full order book system .

That's exactly what it is. It's a buyer's market.
The buyer has all the power during this initial stage. But this is only a step towards implementing full order books, where I would assume sell orders will also be in operation.
From tomorrow, if you wish to sell a player, you have two options.

The seller can place the player in the sell queue (like they normally do), and potentially wait days, weeks or months.

or accept the new instant sell price, which is no longer determined by the football index, but from 'buy bids' made by fellow users.

3. Come on here and advertise a price you are willing to sell for.I get that there may be issues if someone wishes to buy less than 300 shares, but its still a valid option. Which is a ridiculous way of operating, even if it is temporary - FI should have had sell offers ready to go at the same time. Especially as this wouldn't effect peoples cash balances.

So if I bid 2.00 and the average is 2.10 I’m not going to get matched until the higher bids are excepted and the average comes down to 2.00. Also if I bid over the average say 2.20 does that mean I’ll get the share cheaper at the ave price?

I've had 100 Braithwaite in the sell queue for three months fluctuating between 72p - 74p and not sold a single one. Bought him for 45p so will happily sell the lot for 60p or more.
