Does Sancho devalue Rashford?
-
My opinion here.
For England:
Sterling-Kane-SanchoIf Sancho goes to Utd, does he clean up the Top Forward dividends when Utd smash?
Discuss: (like civilised human beings 👍🏻)
-
@Lukeroro Yes (although Sancho is a Mid).
Glad we had a Civilized discussion as human beings.
-
I don't know if he devalues Rashford, depends what opta decide to do with his position, (if ones a fwd and the other a mid there is no devaluation) once the transfer goes through. England-wise rashford plays on the left, so maybe threatens sterling?
Another prevalent and related question is does sanchos price rise or fall on completion of the transfer, traditionally you would say it falls (buy the rumour sell the news and all that) but with the new pricing dynamics, that no one seems quite to understand fully yet, i am thinking it could go either way.
-
Well he is a midfielder still currently on the index and it’s no guarantee he outscores him even if that changed. Also no guarantee he starts ahead of him for England. Given form they could both even start ahead of sterling.
The biggest no guarantee of the lot is him joining Man Utd.
6 quid ahead of him is probably 3 quid too much at least.

Not for me, It'll be fairly close between the two each week I'd guess, assuming Sancho gets reclassified. Remember, Paderborn are shite! No free kicks or penalties for either player, and we don't know that Sancho will hit the ground running (although I hope he does). I imagine Rashford gets more goals, and Sancho gets more assists. They should be much closer in price for me. As for England, if they can get a good understanding of each others game and play together each week, it would be tough for Southgate to drop either one.

I agree @Jimbob . I'd anticipate Rashford actually benefitting from the comparison, he looks great value comparatively. I'd guess both sitting at a similar value somewhere in between both prices now.

Big time. I'm not sure how much Sancho actually can drop with the current system, but he deffo makes Rashford look cheap. I said it last week, you can get a Rashford and a Greengoat for the price of a Sancho and still have your bus fare home. Madness.
-
A stronger Manchester United with CL games will increase the value of all their top players, regardless of the fact that they will have to share divs (Sancho included if he is moving). You vanno imagine at this point a 22y/o Rashford to be half of Sancho’s price.
Rashford scored 14G in just 22 PL games this year
-
The higher Sanchos price gets the better for the likes of Rashford and the rest at the top end.

What have I missed with this Greengoat? New eco friendly version of the original goat?😂

Exactly. On the index nearly every player rises based on comparative value, there are very few players that devalue those around them. In fact the only one that truly does is Messi because their is no comparison.
Sancho will drag up Rashfords price and if he does move to Man Utd he may even drag Bruno’s price up, he wont devalue either imo
-
@Lukeroro A yes. Definitely. All depends whether it’s just for England or at club level too.

@Splurger_Dan It’s a classic forum in-joke, sparked I think by a “NewUser” who started a thread claiming Greenwood was already the world’s greatest player and everyone should pile all of their cash into him.

Cant disagree with the guy really😉

@Splurger_Dan I don't know who came up with it first, but I've been using it relentlessly ever since!

...again 🙈😂

I don’t think he de values him as such weird hold he always lags behind price movement for some reason but I do think if Sancho move is done quickly money will spill over into rashford and Bruno could see a dip for a short period imo
-
It’s even quite possible greenwood hits the bench a few times and some of his money go into rashford and Bruno I think especially for the United supporters who like a united filled port
