Share Holding
-
Can anyone tell me how I go about finding out how long I have held a player for as the transaction history only goes back 3 months. Thanks
-
Mine goes back all the way if I access FI on a browser rather than the app if that’s any help

@ChazFI123 cheers for the reply but my history is blank logging on via the browser. I have been a user for some time.. strange

Could do with a "number of days to go" metric somewhere on the platform couldn't we. I'm new to this, but wouldn't put it past me to miss a deadline 3 years on from now. Fortunately I logged the purchase dates in an app with a reminder, but even so, what would be nice is to set up a reminder feature in the app giving you a 90 day reminder to avoid a fire sell, or lose the total value of a holding.

@NewUser390041 exactly I agree.. this should have been in place from the beginning. Gives us more clarity on holdings

I believe you can only extract 3 months (or 90days ) at a time, I extracted all my transactions in 3 month buckets all the way back from Jan 2018 and keep these updated updated on a spreadsheet by adding the latest

@Parvez112333 can you go further back than 2018 or?
-
not sure....i joined in jan 2018

@Parvez112333 nice one that’s bang on thank you.

A question on this. The 3 year limit, does it apply to all the shares bought in a player, or based on purchase date. i.e., I buy 10 shares every month in a particular player, then do I need to sell all 360 in the final month (assuming I hang on) or just the ones I bought 3 years ago. I'm in a few share dealing sites, that allow you to select the shares you sell by purchase date, but in my experience, this offer is not given on selling in this platform. So, is it you have to sell after the 3 years, even though some shares are only 1 month old ?
Then once sold, guessing I can buy back in the day after ?
Sorry for a basic question, but just learning the ropes.

Based on purchase date of each individual share regardless of whether its the same player

Ok, so I am going to have to keep a bit more organised in my purchase records in this case.
Thanks for the quick reply.
