Did anybody reach their 'goals'
-
A good while back (Mayb a year or so) I remember a thread asking what people's goals were from F.I. there were a wide and varied amount of targets people had set themselves, including to become a millionaire @Ericali perhaps? I'm just curious if anyone can remember what they wanted to achieve, and how many people had actually realised this? I'll start, all I wanted was to get a new bike! I can confirm that a few months ago, I achieved this (see picture) it's not quite the santa Cruz nomad that i had my eye on. But its sometimes just nice to know that you've set yourself a target and stuck to it

Can't seem to upload photo. But you get the point π

Is it a bike by any chance? π€π
Mine was a 6 year plan on doubling my investment every 12 months to become a millionaire.
I completed stage 1 βοΈ
Stage 2 ends in December - so I've another 5 months to go yet, but I'm about 47% up this year despite the Covid-19 crisis.

@Chickenman sort of remember that thread and I think I said Iβll be happy with 50% on my original investment. I did achieve this by Xmas to be fair and Iβve added more money since and all time profit is about 60% so overall happy but disappointed I could do better( that last bit sounds like my old school report)π€

My goal was "to enjoy myself" and I have definitely done that.

I was happy to get 20% every year. Now, at 80% (joined January 2019) I am SUPER pleased! As long as Iβm making 20% a year on my overall portfolio, I will be happy π

I was looking to get enough money together for a breast reduction.
Due to a few a schoolboy errors I've had to resort to a tight fitting crop top.

Iβd set myself a target of 25% in my first year while also learning the ropes and learning by mistakes during this time. After just a month I was running at 14%, which was excellent but then Covid and numerous changes (of which I didnβt have a cash balance to react to) have had an effect and Iβm down to 9.5% currently. Iβm hoping with football fully returning now Iβll get back on track though. However, with whatβs gone on Iβd be happy with 20% in my first year. That may be viewed as unambitious but I am new and still learning the ropes and especially the clever and insightful trading possibilities.

@Dronny-Gaz don't worry - being a real man, I'm sure you can pull it off

My goal today was to re-learn the Rain Song by Led Zeppelin in my acoustic guitar
Sort of sounds passable now π
