The New Kante
-
First we had Makelele, then Kante came along does anybody think like myself that the next one of these terrific defensive midfielders is Wilfred Ndidi.
-
He already is a terrific defensive midfielder but he's not in the other two's league (yet). Fair play to Leicester's scouting policy though.

Yes I know heโs not quite there yet, hence saying the next, and yes he is terrific now,but still room to go on and improve........so is that a yes from you?

@Jacque-schidtt it's a maybe for me. He is a top 4 defensive midfielder in any league in the world (which he currently is with Leicester) but still don't think he hits the other two's heights. And being Nigerian, instead of French, means he wont have the opportunity to do it at the highest level on a world stage.
-
@MoansyFI-WH I fully appreciate your opinion, thatโs what Iโm asking in this thread,to see if anybody else has my view on him.
After all Football is about opinions.

Both great players but neither win much dividends. DCM's historically have never done well on FI as they are up against stiff competition for PB with the more attack minded (and PB rewarded) players.

What Iโm asking is he the next great defensive midfielder?
-
@Jacque-schidtt Yes he is. I still wouldn't buy him though, unless for transfer speculation.

May I present to you the next great defensive midfielder, arise Sir Eric Dier ๐๐๐.
Seriously though Ndidi is top quality
