900 shares to move price 1p?

Only looks like 300 now. Interesting

Very interesting

Yeh changed a couple of weeks ago. Just top end I think... I only tested Bruno, but saw it on many others. At least this one is timed with good news... Last time remember it was while the two premiums, pog and neymar, were crashing 😂
I do think its a bit dodgy tho... Surely some people must take into account their own impact on a players price. Panda now has 24000 sancho... When he bought them that was a 40p drop he would create by selling... Now its 80p. Obviously you'd drip feed that many hopefully anyway... But still... Not great that one person controls the top priced player by so much!

@Coriolanus it's madness. How often do they manipulate these? What would stop them changing it to 100 shares to move it a penny? The rises and would be insane.
-
@Tom7471 yeh they can change and have updated the wording recently too to emphasise that it will be more dynamic. I don't know if it's an issue in reality or just hypothetically... You'd like to think as players move through certain barriers the delta either speeds or slows down as necessary. But I hope users are aware of it so they can consider it when buying/selling bulk. To me it's always been obvious and I constantly check... But I remember we discussed the last change on the forum for weeks... I signed up to twitter to see how they were all taking it.. And no one on there had noticed or even believed me until I showed them some tests 😂

I prefer it at 300. It makes perfect sense in terms of it matches max purchase at any one time.
-
@ScouseSte hopefully they change lower end and coincide it with a nice smdp bonus or something.... Get more liquidity going!

Yea I must admit I thought SMDP was ridiculously complicated at first but the overall concept is spot on. If they bring it back in i wont complain

Seems to be about 450 shares in Gnabry to move a penny
-
@Coriolanus I remember the outrage before but I thought 300 caused an outrage not 100!! That to me seems like market manipulation at its finest.

I question them a lot about price movements and deltas before the ME got launched. They told me it is entirely based on supply and demand so to me thats FI setting themselves competitive rates to entice purchases. How they decide it is anyones guess it may have something to do with active bids listed or how narrow the spread is but it woll be designed to encourage people to buy at market value.
I expect it will shorten still now that the delta is less important as the reason it had to be 900 was to prevent negative values in mass sell offs, that is no longer a concern so they could if they wanted bring it back to 100 per 1p if they wanted
-
I’ve also seen price movement on sub 50p players both up and down with no price movement showing for that day; so I can only assume you alter the price depending on the depth and price of bids
-
@Sav2000 I don't think so as that would be player specific whereas I noticed the change to 300 across a section of players simultaneously
-
I think it's more a case that they've decided to boost market sentiment by allowing prices to rise a little quicker... Rather than large investment in the top guys getting swallowed by the weight of money needed to move them up a few pence.
That's the important thing with £1bn cap and div increase... Raising divs 100%... People will assume "cool prices can double now" but they can't... Same amount of money has to work harder and harder as prices go up that it has less and less impact. FI use the delta to alleviate that issue and allow price rises more easily.

Different delta in the £2-£3 bracket

@Advinculas-Index share split?

Not sure the ME penny has dropped for Caleb. Why market buy 900 shares in Gnabry when easily could be bought for far cheaper (58p spread currently).

@Hotspur the phrase "more money than sense" springs to mind. But God bless him anyway 😊

@Hotspur When was this image taken?
He went on a Gnabry shopping spree a few days ago that boosted the price.
