Josip Ilicic

Does anyone know why Ilicic doesnt seem to be starting for Atalanta these days? I know he had an injury but did feature in the last game. Anyone with any more info would be greatly appreciated!
-
@Leclerc I think it's an ankle injury. Not too serious but recurring
-
It's a frustration I know! I was reading a few translated articles today and the jist is he's not quite 100%.
-
Thanks for the info guys. Very frustrating! Needs to start a game soon, does he not know that he has an Index of traders to please???
-
Update: seems Ilicic is dealing with some personal issues, don't expect to see him at all in the CL.
-
@DW He's not even with the Atalanta squad and doesn't want to play again so it's a definite no

I've seen a few versions ranging from his wife having an affair to a fairly vague theory about PTSD relating to his childhood in war torn Slovenia having reared its head, prompted by the effects of COVID in his home town.
Could be some truth in any or all, could be utter bollocks, but clearly hes suffered some form of trauma. Will it cause him to call time on his career? Who can say? I doubt it personally. I dont hold but I might at some point during the summer place a few really shitty bids and see what happens
-
Interesting that his minimum bid on ME is hugely lower than all other players at his price. Don't know why.
-
@NewUser731 FI appear to move the bid ranges on demand, I presume there are some triggers such as no bids for a particular amount of time = widen the bid range. Makes some sense for everyone if that is the case at least, encourages bids and people can exit if they wish
-
@NewUser731 mainly cos hes over 30.

@NewUser731
The minimum bids are a shambles and have been since they were introduced. FI just make it up as they go. Whatever the official position is at any given point, you can probably find dozens of players who are below the minimum.
Hopefully at some point they’ll actually standardise things with a proper minimum, but i won’t hold my breath.
The problem with allowing very low minimum bids is that FI are devaluing their own product. Basically why buy anyone, when you have zero certainty that you’ll be able to exit at even 60% of the buy price. The top 20 or so and goalkeepers are OK, almost everyone else is a very risky bet.
Over 30s are like sticking lit dynamite in your pants.
