Said Benrahma
-
Any Brentford supporters here? I've held 450 futures in Benrahma for a couple of months now and have seen a 15% rise though bugger all recently. He has 5 goals since coming back from lockdown and seems to be unstoppable.
He also had this article written about him in the Guardian.
https://www.theguardian.com/football/football-league-blog/2020/jun/25/he-could-nutmeg-a-mermaid-the-rise-of-brentfords-said-benrahmaSo basically:
- Do you think he is going to be snapped up? And by who?
- Is he playing to his full potential or is there more to come?

@Maldini07 I’ve been following Brentford this season as a backup to the prem action and I’ve been so impressed with them. Watkins catches the eye first but I think benrahma is the real star. He’ll definitely get a bigger move up and I think he’ll do well at Prem level. I personally hope he goes somewhere he will be a regular starter rather than go somewhere and have to bide his time.
-
@Maldini07 Undoubted quality, question is whether he needs to leave Brentford as I fancy they will go up through the play offs.
-
Cheers for input guys. Yeah, I think this is the main thing to look out for. If they don't quite make it then it will be interesting to see if anyone comes in for him. It's definitely important for him to get regular play time but the only side I have seen linked to him is Chelsea, who are pretty stacked at the moment.

He was going to move to Chelsea for 20-25m but given Willians recent form the club have reconsidered offering Willian a slightly longer term deal.
From what i heard from other Chelsea/Brentford fans is he is real class and a lot of the Chelsea fans more in the know were happy at his potential signing.
All in all looks like a good player destined for a PB league next season especially for 20-25m plenty of lower end premier league clubs have taken punts on Championship players in recent seasons.

Benrahma looks a real star in the championship, i'm actually gutted i didn't buy more of him last season.
Having watched Brentford over the past few weeks, if they get promoted I expect them to do a 'Sheff Utd' next season and be the surprise package.
-
@Wolvesfan1980 agree- they have been a pleasure to watch. Shame Mbuemo has never been IPO'd
-
My boy is smashing it yet again. 2 goals against Derby!
-
@Maldini07 Latest i have heard is Chelsea despite Frank Lampard wanting them to are not willing to meet Willians demands and still see Benrahma as the better value for money they don't want to be stuck in a situation like Ozil/Arsenal are.
Could very well see the move go ahead but he would just be a squad player/rotation option but if Chelsea get Champions league, should still get quite a few games.

Best case situation is its a big club doing a buy and loan back so he can have a grillish (pre covid break) season and rocket.
