Anyone know?

Just wondering how much of this 'market making' has resulted in money leaving the Index or being reinvested?
Probably in GK by the way. š
Any mathematician's on here had a look at the FOOTIE and had a rough calculation?
Or is there simply not enough data there? These random questions come to me every so often. š

I would suggest that if the FOOTIE is not dropping then the index as a whole is growing - which would suggest there is a fucking super dooper, pokla dot bikini's worth zillion, billion pound sat in ME......
Because other than the surge in keepers - ill be fucked to know where the coin is sat.
-
Market cap has dropped c4% over the last week (c£5.5m according to IndexTrak's excellent stats) but it could be either sat in cash balances, ME bids or withdrawn.
-
@Millerman it's impossible for footie to drop now.
-
@Hotspur hi mate - for someone who doesn't understand all the ins and outs - why is that - is that because the Market Makers won't allow it to?
-
@Millerman essentially it's because FI have removed instant sell back to them, so we can only buy off each other now. Best just to ignore the Footie, it doesn't reflect how the market is behaving.
-
@Millerman for you to take any money out, another user has to put it in to buy your shares. The money in the market can only reduce once shares start to expire.
Altho the deal they have with Lp01 seems totally fucked so that's the equivalent of them losing money... If they owe lp01 big kick backs... Or it's essentially their own insider buying shares back... Its the same as IS. So if lp01 is freeing up money and some of that money is being withdrawn... The footie won't reflect it... But it is bad for the market

@Coriolanus
That's the info I wanted.
Is it new money going on a GK frenzy or traders taking a hit to get out of certain holds and onto GK.
Or, which I hope is right, the market makers have bought at the top end, thus increasing liquidity which is trickling down the index.
Keepers at this moment in time.

@Coriolanus Got ya!!!!! Makes sense now....cheers.
