Messi will he wont he?
-
Same old stories coming out each time Barca fuck up but this time feels different. Lets say if Messi does actually go this time? I think its still to early in his career to go back to Argentina so my guess would be City if Pep is still there next season. If that happened what happens to his price? Surely no one is winning MB other than him for a long time
-
I saw Inter mentioned in a swap for Martinez - which is absurd because it was Messi who was supposedly demanding they sign Martinez š I doubt he will leave these rumours surface every couple of years
-
The UK media would spunk their pants if Messi ever came to the Prem.
Canāt see it happening though. I imagine heāll retire at Barca.
-
Heās on Ā£1.2m a week. Not many can afford that and the
Iikely transfer fee.
-
I think he'll stay at Barca, I think he's too settled living in Spain!
I reckon Barca will bring through the likes of Puig, Trincao and Fati next season and try and make a couple of signings to placate Messi!
Also let's be honest it wasn't a case of Real being amazing, Barca were just a bit more shit!š

Barcaās finances are a mess. If you needed evidence of that, swapping a young talented midfielder in Arthur for an old, declining one in Pjanic + Ā£20m is an accounting workaround that makes their team older and even slower but helps fill the huge holes in the books. They borrowed the Ā£108m for Griezmann, a player they didnāt need and donāt know how to use, and got three league goals for their troubles. They are, by some margin, the worst run club in elite European football.
-
@Richio im sure its in his contract he has the option to leave for free after each season so it may only be the wage. Although his wage is extremely high, with no transfer fee it would be affordable for the a club wanting the GOAT
-
I am not a huge fan of City, but I would love to see him in the Prem even if it makes them better
-
@Baydog i cant think of anywhere else that he goes but its probably down to Pep that im thinking that
-
Go to Paris to be reunited with Neymar?
-
@Black-Wolf no, apparently that clause has to be activated by 31st May so heās essentially got a year left on his deal.
-
Would love to see him in the prem but it'll never happen. Tore between a nice top up or avoid. I can't see him rising up to £5/6 again either
-
@Richio may have special circumstances due to the pandemic and the way in which contract extensions were handled?
-
I think he stays. But if he goes to City heāll be Ā£7.50 before long.
-
Heāll just win mb constantly outside transfer windows.
-
Villa have ruled themselves out of the running, but that might change if Grealish goes (maybe in a swap deal)
-
@Richio said in Messi will he wont he?:

Right. Hold on a minute...I'm not having that.
Allow me to introduce
West Ham United
A club run like a circus

I mean it was going to take something like this for the media to finally stop flogging the dead horse that is the Sancho deal. Bring on the MB over the next few days at least.
-
@howsthebacon oh my friend you're new to this aren't you!š now man u have gone out it'll be a media circus saying how much they need him!
I have my doubts regarding Messi, I think he loves Barca and just wants shit to change!
-
@Marksandygill I don't think he'll go tbh but doesn't stop papers writing about it
But as you say...United crash out and Sancho bags two assists in a goal in an 11-2 friendly win! Papers will turn that into some kind of huge front page story.
