david brooks to man utd any thoughts
-
Wont happen and i urge you not to buy him now off the back of this as you will most probably lose money in the next few days
-
Can’t see it happening either.
-
Note as well Man Utd might be trying to fill their home grown player numbers as they could already have the maximum 17 foreign players in their squad under UEFA rules. This means clubs have to buy home grown talent.
Thoughts?
-
Would be an awful buy from UTD, so I don't see it. Ok player but not good enough for a top 6 team especially coming off a long term injury.
-
played 9 games this season scored 1 goal been out most of the season with ankle injury . bench player at best.

Thoughts?I’d say they’re fairly wall covered in this regard with Williams, Shaw, Maguire, Tuanzebe, AWB, McSauce, James, Rashy, Greenwood etc. Think Pogba probably qualifies too.

@Pez having seen him play live a few times id have to disagree. I think he'd be a great player for man utd other than the bit about injuries. Doesn't seem able to stay fit. As a sheffield united fan I hope he moves for massive money so we get a decent wedge with the sell on clause.
-
@Stevo I think hes decent and still young but coming of nearly a year out I just don't see UTD taking that risk. Probably a mid table team at the moment
-
Possible but in the region of 45,121 players get linked to United each summer. Trick is to have them before the link and sell. Not sell after the link.

@NewUser487559 United had 13 registered homegrown players this season (not including Williams, Greenwood, Mengi and Laird) plus Henderson is returning. We don’t have to worry about the foreign limit
-
I rate him as a player but I have been stung before buying players off rumours.
-
@MikeWagner So if your correct then they can only have up to 17 foreign players in their squad, it may be a case of one out one in before they can sign another foreigner.
-
I could see this happening but he will only be a squad player.
As seen the other night United have no plan B past the fist 11..............
They need some sort of decent quality coming of the bench to change a game, if Brooks is that I'm not sure.
-
I will throw in another, I don't think Rashford is that good and certainly does not warrant his current value.
So what happens they get a few injuries to Martial and Bruno etc
United need at least two quality defenders and two quality attackers, I dont include Sancho in that list as where does it leave Greenwood.
Havertz maybe.......
-
@trig Greenwood would still start 25+ games next season if United sign Sancho, which is plenty for an 18 year old. He can play right across the front 3 and is a natural striker anyway so I don’t see Sancho limiting his development.
-
@MikeWagner I agree, a few on here debate who will drop to the bench but at 18 Greenwood won't be starting two games a week, neither will Rashford or Martial. The fixtures will be very congested this season so there will be rotation needed.
Based on Solskjaer leaving subs so late the other night suggests he doesn't have much faith in his other attacking players so there will surely be a Sancho, Grealish, Van de Beek or perhaps even Brooks brought in to supply more squad depth
