People who pile in when a player scores in a friendly.

Really odd behaviour imo. Whatโs the rationale bar impetuosity?
-
@Richio
Not sure which player you're talking about, however, perhaps traders have bought in thinking the goal will get him in the first team.
You should have been here last Summer for the Greenwood/Brewster/Parrot/Nketah games. ๐๐

@Dronny-Gaz probably talking about Brewster. But also Daka in the same match.

Maybe they're gambling that the publicity will cause their hold to rise in price, hence CA? Still crazy though!

@JonesyFI-WH not just Brewster. It happens loads. Daka is an interesting one. If he gets a move it wonโt be because he scored in a friendly.
-
@Londoner that kind of works for UK based players, but not foreign ones.
-
@Richio no you're right it's not just Brewster. I hold Gouiri and he went up about 10p after scoring and being seen taking a couple of corners in pre-season match just over a week ago..
As I hold Daka I hope to see him in a PB league soon :)

Put us out of our misery, who is the player you're talking of?
-
Last summer, I think UTD, Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs had pre season in USA.
Youngsters getting picked, scoring and flying.
Crazy times.
Brewster, Greenwood etc.Traders staying up whilst early hours to jump on.
So I've heard ๐๐๐๐๐

@Londoner well, for example, Daka today. But people were steaming in on Ligue 1 players who scored in their pre-season.
-
@JonesyFI-WH
Yeah i agree on Gouiri, I hold and was going to top up before the first games of the season and couldn't understand why he suddenly shot up in price but it was due to a friendly game! Annoying as it caused me not to top up and then he gets a brace on the first game!
-
Yeah I was massively surprised by this. I held Brewster a while back but decided to sell for about the same as I paid after commission. That was off the back of a few loan rumours.
But now I see he is up 10-15p - I thought he had been called up to fucking England haha. He has bagged in friendlies before, means very little. When you consider players actually sign for teams and increase less, its baffling but I'm still pretty new so what do I know.

Sounds like wild and naive gambling to me. If they get burnt, they'll learn.
