Barrow payout?

so Barrow has won pb ( in terms of actual performance) the issue seems to be his stats were changed after midnight which means FI dont contractually have to pay. i still think it would be better in cases like this to bite the bullet and payout twice. it doesnt happen enough to make it a huge liability and is good for public relations which FI need to improve ( yes im a barrow holder by the way so this post is coming from utter selfishness). but i would argue the same for any other player i didnt have too

@jonathan-rolfe that's why they changed the payout deadline to make sure they get the right winner makes sense cant have players like Barrow winning it 😂😂😉

If Barrow did indeed top the PB rankings, it seems only fair that they do pay out. Especially as they were so quick to recoup the divs given out earlier in the year to traders when they forgot to switch off the five place media divs.
I think it hints at a wider issue of transparency (perhaps to be addressed with the official launch of FI Data Centre in due course) - past MB/PB scores should be crystal clear and more immediately visible for users. Same with TOTM, I think a lot of us are completely unsure whether Akanji or Hummels will win because the existing data that FI has used to calculate their totals isn't entirely transparent.

@Ikusitaikasi yes he won top forward but they paid out on Benzema.
I doubt they would pay out on Barrow now but always hopeful as I hold. Not really read much aggro on Twitter about it. That might be because the bigger guys on the Index haven't kicked up a fuss (cos they don't hold) as they would normally get their way.

I'm sure they've said in the past that scores at midnight would be final. This has happened before with Neymar I believe, and they paid out as a gesture of goodwill. If opta change the scores after midnight, then that's opta's fuck up. Shame for Barrow holders, but I wouldn't be expecting anything. Unless the scores changed before midnight?

Quite a shame indeed for us Barrow share holders! It’s just not fair? They need to sort this out and bring fairness into the game.

That's why they changed the div payouts to the 9-11am window and updated the FI Game Rules accordingly: "We reserve the right to correct or adjust Match Day performance data up until dividends for that a Match Day are paid out." The next sentence is a bit confusing and potentially contradictory though: "However, we will not adjust Match Day Scores or re-allocate Match Day Dividends after the applicable Match Day for any reason (including where a match result is overturned/voided, or where a goal/assist is later awarded to a different player)."
Anyway, they have mentioned on Twitter that they're looking into it. I have low expectations seeing as it's been over 24 hours already but I hope FI take this opportunity and look into the process as a whole to avoid similar issues in future: https://twitter.com/FootballIndexCS/status/1322895143184322560

It will be interesting to see what happens in the future should a similar incident arise which results in a player missing out on a TOTM placing.
They don't correct the points historically in these instances as far as im aware.
