Date of Next Game
-
The portfolio page already includes a lot of information, but it would be useful if it included a column showing the date of a players next game. Well - the teams next game as there is no guarantee that a player would be on the team sheet.
Personally, I think it would be useful to have the option to list my portfolio in game order sometimes.
Anyone agree?

@Honeylight there are so many little features that wouldn't take much to implement but I guess FI have bigger fish to fry currently. Next three fixtures is something I put on my own personal spreadsheet to get an idea of their run in.
-
@howsthebacon you're sugar coating it. Their admin is shit. Zlatan's biography says he is the only player to have "smashed through the £6 barrier" and is still at Utd. (That's £6 pre share split as well!)
I suppose he's lucky to have a bio. It's pretty bog standard. It wouldn't take much effort to just get rid of them or write a sentence on each player.
-
@Lukeroro I never read the bios from what I hear they're painfully out of date and beyond pointless.
But I think player bios and additional tidbits like IPD eligibility, next match etc are also a bit further down on the average trader's priorities when you consider depth, nasdaq, media need sorting.
-
@howsthebacon but they are huge when it comes to first impressions for new traders, it's a very simple mechanism that makes the platform look awful.
-
@Lukeroro true, I mean even if it was updated every 6 months or something. Will the introduction of NASDAQ lead to better information when we click on a share? Or is that going to be part of the feature they trialled recently which was similar to index gain etc with players performance history etc. If that stuff was immediately available when clicking on a player, imagine that.
-
@howsthebacon exactly. I like that idea actually.
But to only have a bio for around 3% of the players on the index and for all of them to be wrong is astonishingly bad.
-
@Lukeroro maybe just get rid of bios altogether then? If they cant keep them updated or provide bios for the full index just not bother and focus on providing the data that is relevant and helpful like mentioned above. And in terms of a general bio just have some sort of linked info from Transfermarkt for example or failing that, wiki.
-
@howsthebacon I like your idea. It's the perfect place to have FI data like IndexGain or FootyIndexScout data which would promote trading. It's a real problem, it looks so unprofessional right now.
-
Funnily enough, @howsthebacon the new update touting the Data Centre could be really good if they can admin it up correctly!
-
@Lukeroro would've liked some dates on the stuff they mentioned but yeah that will be a huge positive.
-
@howsthebacon don't you think that's expecting way too much!?
-
@Lukeroro to be fair, they give dates and then don't meet them, there's an uproar. Most businesses would do the same, use words like imminent etc where they dont have to make any commitments. I expected something a bit more concrete but they did say there'd be more updates so just have to be patient I guess.
-
@howsthebacon I was only joking. Other companies normally give updates with what you're going to be able to do with your money, not what they're going to do with the bets you already have live. But, they cannot get it wrong.
-
@Lukeroro I thought there was some sarcasm there but it's hard to tell ;)
-
@howsthebacon yeah, always difficult in text 😂
I'm interested to see the updates that Footy Index Scout make. I've always liked the data and the layout, hopefully they don't change it too much.
