Share split
-
Would a share split reduce prices and attract more new traders? Never seen the market this flat before.
-
@Longmanlee no the prices versus divs are great currently
-
I very much doubt this is the answer. I don't think player values are currently a barrier to entry so I doubt a share split would make any difference.
-
@Longmanlee I've not experienced a share split on here so not sure how it would work but there is value there now for new traders, not sure the value on offer is the problem at the moment. Just feels like there is no confidence in FI and they'll need to implement the changes they've proposed and quickly to get everyone back on board. Might lose a few in the process but it might be for the best.

@GeoffS here he is, stealing my opinion and saying it one sentence again! haha

Lucky for you I'm logging off now as I've got to start work. So feel free to clog up the forum with your lengthy ramblings.

No
And with dividends at current levels why would FI implement it ?
If they split shares then dividends would follow. Pointless
-
share split would be terrible... we have oversupply of shares already because FI release infinite number... now in OB world its very obvious because when people want to sell the downward pressure is immense.
I also think higher dividends is better because people would surely see £s as much more tangible win than Pence. I'd advocate a reverse split... halve our shares and double our divs! more appealing to non-users to join when prizes are higher … and less shares in circulation so more demand for them... = liquidity/growth

Thanks for the reply’s. I remember the split being positive last time but guess that won’t work again with divs at the current level.
Have FI just ran out of new traders? I will hold for the long term on all my players as the money is forgotten about but would love to know what it will take to kick start some decent trading levels again.

I really like this idea, in fact I think this is brilliant! 👏👏👏

@Coriolanus interesting idea
-
@Longmanlee a share split is for when the shares are too high to attract new investors not when they are tumbling down.

@GeoffS Haha love it. They guy does my head in aswell
