They changed the way it works... right around the time the market tanked... Can't say I've ever bothered it with mind.

It didn't used to make much sense to anybody so they changed it to make even less sense.

It was up around 310 prior to the start of last week, started to dip to 290 prior to Wed. By last Thursday dipped to 269 then 234/5 Friday before 194/5 Saturday! this evening seems to be rising rapidly and imo prices on plenty look high enough,the footie will end up at 245+ tomorrow if the rises carry on.

Best that make 260+ as lots of these prices are nudging not far off pre wed prices now. Nice idea thou be good to have a thread we can look back on and compare to dips/rises for future reference.

Pretty sure it stated at 360 or 320. Lowest it been is 195 this weekend

in vague terms it's the strength of the market, the higher the number the higher the general prices i believe. Happy to be corrected if wrong.

It's to do with the value of the top 100-200 players, but I don't think they've revealed the calculation.
It has mostly been going down by about 5 per day, with the occasional small rise. Then some -20s after they changed the bid / offers and yesterday clearly showed a rise and I'm sure today's result (once calculated) will be higher again.
The markets are looking healthier at the moment.

It's the total of mid price on top 100 players iirc, they did give us the calculation when it was amended a few months ago, you could probably find it on their news page

@NewUser621862 this used to be recorded daily as part of the Daily Dividend Winners thread. The new system started on 11 September and the opening FOOTIE was 364. Not convinced it's ever been higher, but I could be wrong.
