The road back to CA?

Well that is a bold move. It sounds like MB has ripped up the script of the former jazzy shirted CEO. I'm feeling fairly positive about it. A lot of advice on the forum since the first crash has been to all pile on the usual suspects because of ipd. This has effectively crushed the market down to the size making it about a handful of players. Much of the market is useless at the moment and CA exists on a diet of ipd. I would be interested to hear thoughts from the forum on changes that could bring back much needed depth.

Tiered PB:
Gold days - 14p 10p 6p per position + star man. 4p 2p 1p gk
Silver days - 11p 7p per position + star man. 3p 1p gk
Bronze days - 5p 3p per position + star man. 2p goTotm needs a bump too.

Why would removing IPDs help the market? Most of the market only has value because of IPDs! The decision has been taken for financial reasons, much like the implementation of buy commission.

@Lukeroro so you want them to lower the payouts from 28p to 24p on a gold day ?????
-
Great news
-
CA surely this lowers the lower end players as now there is absolutely no reason to hold players that donβt return divs. Money will move out of lower end players and into premiums if they do a multi position payout on match days
-
@Lloyddavies yea I agree but the money will filter down when premium reach a certain amount. People will still trade the shit for next to fuck all if they have a better chance of winning pb
-
@AndydfopT yeh suppose so mate hopefully itβs good news for all of us
-
@Bugsbunnies I personally would take a smaller gold day for more chance of winning
-
@Lloyddavies it is if its tiered PB. That's my opinion. The way they have gone about it is disgraceful. The best thing is to do nothing until we know more. Dont sack off the Ipds just yet cus you could be burnt twice

No. Just got my numbers wrong! π
-
@Lukeroro No doubt if they do do Tiered payouts , they will pay less than they are currently
-
Finally!!! This will stop traders dumping players after 30 days... IPDs should have gone a long time ago
WELL DONE FI AN MB πͺπ½

If the whole Index ran from PB scores it would make a better product.
Maybe something like 1p for every 200 points any player scores per month..?
IPD creates a system where people are just trying to undercut and there is no longevity, like the rest of the product. Although I do like them, there are better alternatives.

Maybe not with how much they now save from IPDs

It'll stop people dumping players because there will be nobody buying, or selling, or anything. Just a slow slow decline with no chance to get out until they inevitably go out of business later this year.
-
@Lukeroro Having only a PB centred product simply pushes the money to select players and doesn't necessarily encourage liquidity. IPD's gave value to the very many non-pb holds, many of which are goalscorers.
This decision is being taken in this manner because they are fucked financially. It makes zero sense to announce the removal of IPDs without explicitly defining their replacement - it would have been far more logical to wait but they are evidently scrabbling.

That's why I suggested this, or similar.
What would you implement post-IPD?

Next dumb move will be to have tiered PB, but by reducing all the current divs, so the same money is spread between more players, the winnings become pointlessly small and everyone fucks off.
This platform really is dead. They're a disgrace.
