How can ilicic have more points than En-Nesyri after one half.
The former has scored 1 goal as Atlanta lead, the latter has scored a hatrick, in a win, including the winning goal.
How can anyone justify this nonsense?

Regardless of how it works a player who has scored a hat-rick shouldn't have less points than someone who has 1 goal after 30 odd minutes.
It's as simple as that. There's an issues with the PB matrix.

@NewUser84362 maybe or maybe not. Perhaps Mr Hattrick was scratching his arse for the whole game apart from the 3 times the ball bounced off his shin. The PB matrix rewards the players most involved in the game.

There's no enough transparency though. I can't even see how Ilicic achieved all of those points. I know the matrix, but cant see each individual category at which he achieved in.
