Germany Squad Announcement

  • Can anyone forecast any decent rises in anticipation of the Germany squad announcement?

Tolisso and Tielemans both saw big rises in the build ups to their announcements.

I'm currently on these two due to their low risk but thinking about Marco Reus as a WC hold?

    Nils Petersen 68p
    Sebastian Rudy 63p

    Let me know your thoughts!

  • @FootyIndexerLT I’m a Reus holder(important to state!). Low is a big fan of him and he has played incredibly well in a poor Dortmund team. Genuinely a World class player, the stats don’t lie. If he stays injury free he will be a PB machine. He’s already won two since back from injury(in that poor Dortmund team!). He reached 2.50 with links to Liverpool and then dropped, with his stats I think he’ll reach that again, and some more. No brainer in my mind, but each to their own in all!

  • Rumours (based on squad numbers) that Petersen won't make the final cut. I'm holding Reus, Brandt (for next year whether he goes or not), Kroos (not cheap but great PB plus transfer rumours ) and Gundogan (as bought him at a bad time so hoping he rises a bit before I get rid! )

  • I'm guessing goalkeepers aren't what you had in mind, but... ..

Ter Stegen is worth a look. Low price and Neuer still hasn't played a game since September. He may make it but will he be ready for tournament football so soon? The current first choice Barcelona keeper is not a bad fall back option.

  • I got in early picking Plattenhardt at Hertha at a ridiculous 0.53 (now 0.61) who gives them an option at left back should they play four across the back against some of the tougher opponents so fingers crossed he makes the cut. I've also got Gundogan at 0.92 who's now 1.41 and certainly one of the most underrated players in the squad. I do like Goretzka though at 1.68 still relatively cheap considering the influence he could have and might be a big scorer for Bayern in PB next year? Draxler too at 1.97 offers plenty of 'national' value!!!

  • Look no further than Goretzka in my opinion

  • Only one Leroy sane , I can see his price rising .

  • @dannypea I've grabbed a couple hundred Plattenhardt's too, he vying with Hector for LB as far as I know and I've also read he's a free-kick specialist. Can anyone confirm or dispel that? I did get on Hector too to cover all bases but I then read he's not a mercenary and happy to stay with relegated Cologne! WTF! Although I quite admire that i nthis day and age to be fair.

  • @Agatello Can confirm Plattenhardt is a very good free-kick taker! Whether he'll be allowed many ahead of some of the other candidates in that Germany team I don't know ...
I did come across this https://www.dfb.de/spieler/seniorin-ue-35/artikel/freistoesse-schiessen-wie-marvin-plattenhardt-2509/ by the German FA entitled "How to take free kicks like Marvin Plattenhardt" however, so maybe that speaks in his favour! Don't own any myself but I can see the attraction.
