@FCIM1908 didnt take off so they pulled it. Was suppose to generate cash but they paid out more than they received in fees

your answer explains why it "was extremely popular" 😂 but not what it actually is: was it a paid version of squad tournaments?

That's not quite true though is it?
IIRC Correctly, the total prizes worked out at £2120.
They got £2500 for the 500 entries, which were taken up a few hours prior to the deadline. The £380 difference being the prize money handed out on the free competition.
