Exit strategy

I'm actually an optimist when it comes to FI, but this downturn is relentless. Is anyone else counting on the Euro's to leave? The spreads on some players (however artificial) are ridiculous, and the amount of players without bids feels like it is increasing.

@NewUser469373
just leave then, bye bye.
-
@NewUser469373 Im not sure why everyone thinks the Euro's is some sort of saviour
-
@Bugsbunnies it is more like hope than a rational thought
-
@NewUser182678 we must be using FI in a parallel universe. "Just leaving" is not currently possible.
-
@NewUser469373 Exactly this, im willing to take ANYTHING I can get for my shares and still cant sell them all.
Honestly how far this product has fell is just fucking heartbreaking tbh.
Those responsible should go buy some $rope IMO, fuck at this point I would buy it and put it up the tree for them myself.

The exit strategy was to ignore the twitter rocket ships and sell up when they announced order books. After all thats what the smart ones where doing behind the scenes while providing photoshops to keep their social media following happy. Plenty of people on the forums said this at the time but everyone was ignoring the warnings. Then you can always buy back at the bottom either getting more shares or taking some profits. There was no point taking the falls during this time.
Now you're looking to minimise losses when you could take the loss and invest elsewhere to recoup the money. After all its one thing to lose money but its magnified by the opportunity cost of missing out on other profitable investments while you are still holding. Heck while the index is falling 2 points off a base of 165 so losing 1.2% a day, you earn more in a 0.60% in an instant access savings account without the chance of a football being transferred to china or having a career ending injury. Then buy back in when FI finally turns a corner.
But you do you. After all I am labeled the pessimist but saying it for 6 months has proved it was the correct approach.

If you want to pull the plug, do it. Just save us the earache
-
Everyone knows I pulled the plug months ago and am waiting to buy back in :)
-
@Toptom today may be the best time to get back in

The exact reason why nobody should listen to a single word you say.
Snake.

Who do you have?

@o_O that's a bit old testament

Wrong again!. I listen and completely agree. Get out what you can and invest elsewhere.

I had a three year exit strategy so took out my investment and some profit before that time was up but still left quite a bit in... The issue i have now is that i can't exit my portfolio because i'm locked in at record low prices with at least a dozen of my holds offering no sell price...
If i was re-investing now, I don't think i would even know what the exit strategy could be as FI now make it 'impossible' to fully exit without 'giving up' some of your portfolio for free!

Oh, and the Euros won't make a blind bit of difference as unless dynamics change, selling players you've brought will still be impossible!!!
Its a bit like Autotrader..., Only the good ones will go!
