Phil Foden to join the Exodus of young english talent

  • Is this likely to happen?
The general consensus amongst journalists and Those in the game are that he is something special but unlikely to benefit from getting minutes in the current Man city side.

There are some reports linking him to Dortmund.

He surely wont be prepared to keep warming the bench for much longer whilst those around him who are on the same level seem to be advancing their international careers.

Where do you see him at the start of next season?

  • @Advinculas-Index the way I look at it is that Pep seems to like him but at City it's so hard to get game time ie. Sane, Jesus etc. Even if he is that good there's no guarantee he plays. City probably take the stance let him go and if he performs we'll just buy him back anyway, money is no object. Hope he stays but it's such a hard call.

  • Dont see him leaving permanently.german clubs are renowned for buying cheap young players, develop then sell for huge money. Foden is likely 25m already. Id say a season loan could be likely to a club like dortmund or gladbach if germany was an option

  • He needs to be loaned in January.

His contract expires in 2020, usually they have re-signed by now, it will be interesting to see what Foden does, he might not sign an extension, the next year will be telling.
