G&A announcement

  • This Thursday at 6:30pm

  • πŸ‘πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

  • @Dan-w the EXCITEMENT!!! πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

  • Don’t blame them for trying something new but I hope it will not be continued as it’s massively effected stability. Good luck for us all!

  • Predictions?

  • They sent me a push notification through the app about the formal dividend announcement on Thursday at 6:30pm.

They put an emoji of a rocket at the end of the notification - should I be thinking about taking out a massive loan to pour into the index on the basis of the rocket emoji?

  • Yes most definitely

  • Really hope they continue with it. Yes, it caused uncertainty in the market but I think thats mainly because people were reluctant to buy players for a short space of time. In the long run I think it's a great idea because it provides a market for players that were almost irrelevant e.g Vardy/Murray. It will also help older players maintain their prices for longer, if it makes more players have a higher value it can only be good for us traders.

I have no idea why they have announced a specific time and date for it though. They should just say that all major announcements will be a made at a certain time and not reveal the dates, that way keen/active traders can check their twitter daily to check announcements rather than their being 48 hours of speculation.

  • Continue but with a nugget for defenders

  • They wouldn’t announce an announcement to then cancel G&A it’ll stay but adapted in some way

  • This has divided us like Brexit and with the lack of clarification so far I have felt as uninformed as any Brexit voter too. With the clarification coming on Thursday, this could massively shake up the market again. If we are seeing the end of it, what does everyone believe will happen to the market? What players will the money shift back into? Do we expect a double announcement, maybe that G&A is leaving and Goalkeeper dividends are coming in?

  • Where is the announcement going to be shown first, on here? I wana be reading it asap!!!

  • Also likely to be playing 6 a side Thursday evening so that isn't great.

  • @parkins7 It said on the notification push to keep an eye on the website (I'm guessing the FI blog) and on social media for updates.

  • If they keep it then it needs revising imo.

For starters there should be a cut off time so you can't buy players after they score to receive dividends. Goes against what FI is all about.

But I suppose this is a bit of a moneyspinner for them.

  • The tweat specifically says 'make a formal announcement regarding the trial period'. Surely only meaning one thing - an extension. Or maybe its worded in a way which sounds very specific but shouldn't be?? Not an announcement 'about the trial' or similar but about the 'trial period'. My gut instinct is it will stay but be extended for another 30 days. At the end of that a nice share split for Christmas.

I think FI have at least done this more professionally - it gives people time to prepare, appears to be devoid of deliberate ambiguity and the announcement is at a convenient time for most meaning more people have a chance to react.

Personally, I would still prefer a more balance dividend to GK and Defs and I wait in hope.

  • Reading between the lines here but
β€˜We will be making a formal announcement regarding the trial period β€˜
Seems to suggest an extension of the time period rather than a significant change to the structure ?

  • Maybe they will add clean sheet bonus for keepers only, bigger dividend if a defender scores and scrap assists

All we can do is speculate

  • Szecszny is on the Rise

  • Who’s buying goalies then?! Just in case...
