Trading spreads - why the difference
Trying to understand the FI trading spreads and why differs per player even when price is the same i.e. Julian Brandt has a 6p spread and Tielesman 3p spread. Anyone know the reason?
If trading in a player is liquid and there are an equal number of buyers and sellers then FI should be able to narrow the spread. If there's more buyers than sellers (or vice versa) then FI will presumably widen the spread to avoid being shafted as market maker. I've noticed that the spread can be narrow on low profile players possibly to encourage trading
@NewUser101973 Could also be that Brandt is one of the new IPO group, FI said they'd widen the spread to avoid people buying simply for a quick flip?
