First ever purchase on FI

  • Who was your first ever purchase on FI? Mine was Éder Militão of Porto bought and sold the same day. 😂 I’ve learnt a lot since then, how about you ? 👍💷📈

  • I popped my FI cherry by purchasing these on a hot July Morn last year just before leaving for work
Little did i know that by the time id got home that night, i still wasnt able to retire from my FI Gains....

  • Rashford when he opened the scoring against liverpool about 12 months ago, he scored a second about 10 minutes later and won media I think, a good first football index memory. I was then hooked of course.

  • Ziyech from Ajax.. Yh no more has to be said...

  • glad you asked this, as i've just looked it up (can get your transaction history easily on the beta site - everyone check it out).

turns out the first purchase i ever made was.... Ismalia Sarr. Have absolutely no recollection of that, but 9 months still one of my better holds; £1.34 > £3.14

  • Sancho, buying him was the reason i joined fi. I saw him play and wondered what kind of bets you can place on a players future snd thats how i stumbled upon fi

  • Paul Pogba was my first. Still hold. Currently £5.04 up per future.

The day his Transfer rumours started I bought Higuain as my second purchase and sold for profit after seeing him bag me 7 MB wins.

My third trade however was Eric Dier. I thought "How is England's first choice 'holding' midfielder only 84p per future? I'll have me some of that". Yep - he's no longer in my portfolio :D

  • Kai Havertz - 90p

  • My first foray which I subsequently cashed in after a week
    0_1551515893358_upload-7493f0a6-8b14-4cf5-b4c7-502c2d113c8d Marcus Rashford 16/05/2018 5 £4.04 £20.20
    Kevin De Bruyne 16/05/2018 3 £3.97 £11.91
    Isco 16/05/2018 7 £3.90 £27.30
    Roberto Firmino 16/05/2018 3 £3.09 £9.27
    Toni Kroos 16/05/2018 5 £3.08 £15.40
    Christian Eriksen 16/05/2018 4 £2.88 £11.52
    Sadio Mane 16/05/2018 5 £2.81 £14.05
    Joshua Kimmich 16/05/2018 4 £2.60 £10.40
    Marcelo 16/05/2018 3 £2.13 £6.39
    Virgil Van Dijk 16/05/2018 5 £1.62 £8.10
    Xherdan Shaqiri 16/05/2018 7 £1.46 £10.22

    What a tit!

  • James Forest... 😱

Just after he scored a hat-trick for his national side - Good job I only put £20 in!

Disclaimer: he no longer exists in my portfolio 😐

Obviously a glitch in the system - his price is still the same, they've just swapped the figures around. ;)

  • Christian Pulisic and Yannick Carrasco. I panic sold when they dropped a little of course. Only held x2 futures though so not a big deal.

Funny to look back isn't it and remember how nervous we all were with a 2 or 3p drop. Totally different perspective now. I actually enjoy a temporary drop as I see it as an opportunity to top up.

  • I originally joined in March 2016. Bought 1 share of Jamie vardy at 3.78 before deciding a week later this platform wouldn't work. I could have made so much if I knew back then what I know now! Came back on last month and bought 21 shares in almiron for 2.15 making a tidy profit. I'm in it for the long haul now, holding youngsters for 3 years and see where it takes me

  • Mine was James Ward Prowse... brought at 1.12, thinking he could get recalled to Eng squad. Saw little price movement and others seemed to doubt he top end abilities.
Each time he dropped a little I topped up.
He dropped down to around 1.03 and I lost faith and IS’d at 1.00. Thinking it was potentially dead money

About 10 days later and he has been linked to Eng squad and is up to 1.42... lesson to be learnt for me 😂

  • Joe Gomez x4 still in portfolio too

  • Vinicius Junior at 2.34

Only 11 shares though as I was testing the water back then. Now I buy roughly a hundred shares a time. Wish I had bought a hundred back then.

  • @Thedave Great post. Mine was Raheem Sterling last May. He was a good player and I believed he was one who would keep improving.

  • Dwight Gayle .... obviously I hadn’t read the rules by that point !!!
