100, 300 or 900 shares bought for 1p rise???

For 1p rise 100, 300, 900? how many futures need to be bough?

Speculation on whether 100, 300 or 900 shares will need to be bough in order for a player to rise by 1p. There has been no mention of this and I believe its a very important issue.

I would presume it will still be 100. Just because the shares have been split by 1/3, it shouldn't mean 3 times as many need to be purchased to move the price up.

@NewUser112887 I really hope but many people seem to think 900. If so it will kill the market with regards to lower price youth players

Why would it be 900? 300 seems the most logical but I hope it stays at 100

@Gregolocky2018 the maths is 900, see the thread linked by @Westy
I hope, and think (with about 51% certainty) it will be 100.

When you buy 100 you can see an increase so it's satisfying. If max buy is now 300 then it should be 300 to give the user the same feeling.

Surely FI wouldn't be stupid enough to do 900. If Pogba is £22.50 at the SS, then thats £7.50x900 to shift him 1p. Thats £6750 to shift him one p?!?

Prices will be back where they are now, whether it is 6 months, 12 months, 24 months from now... would be so flat if need to buy 300 Neymar at £20 for a 1p rise. Divs will be low yield and no cap ap... market will collapse.
Sell queue would get so long too without the price dropping to encourage buys... itl be really hard to cash out.

@Vespasian32 yep I read it after I posted here, jumped the gun a bit. Maths is correct but by Christ it could stagnate the market completely

Likewise if they keep it at 100 it would be £750 to move his price (currently it’s £2500)
Apply that across the board and add the effect of the increased focus they have put into the in play market and you have a recipie for a very volatile market , especially at weekends and you can throw a larger Monday sell off into the mix.
All of the above is great for FI but not necessarily for traders.

that's why 300 seems right to me.

I would be inclined to agree
I think Adam Cole mentioned something about ensuring that liquidity remains unaltered post SS so 300 would stack up.The question then would be at what levels numbers wise would we be able to buy and sell at.

Its 300, thank fuck for that. DAN@fi with the news.

@Tom77 300 to move price 1p and/or 300 maximum transaction at anyone time?

That's correct. If you were to assume currently 100 shares purchased moves the price 1p, after the split it would be 300 shares purchased to move 1p

I still don't understand how anybody can expect it to stay at 100, it's impossible, forget buying and have a deep think about what would happen if everyone has 3x the amount of shares and the price drops 1p selling 100 which would infact be the same as selling 300 today, if you just bought shares on an IPO today and next week your shares are tripled, then please explain what would happen if u decided to sell them all ???

But the same can be said for 300...following your logic it should be 900 as was explained in another thread today.
