Why do they mark your long futures position to the BUY price rather than the sell Price in your portfolio ? Gives a false portfolio value

Because you can sell at the buy price. Be good if you could see what your worth is after commission though. easy enough to work out
It should give both figures

- You can sell at the buy price if you list to market.
- It looks better to the punter.
