I would instead look towards Claudio Gomes, defensive midfielder at City. Received huge praise by Pep last pre-season and was probably unlucky to miss out on the first team squad after making a (very) short appearance at the Community’s shield.
I assume he missed out because of Delph’s versatility and character, but with both him and Fernandinho not getting any younger, I expect him to break into the first team squad this coming season.
At 51p a share he seems very good value.
