It depends on how big your portfolio is and how long you have been around, so you can calculate the annual % return from dividends.

@Friedeggs congrats mate, similar situation myself, made shy of £450 since December. Wasnt necessarily chasing the Divs initially just an added bonus. Would love to make £1,000 (not fussed if i dont) by December that would be unreal

@Friedeggs well done mate ive been on the same time as you but im just approaching £400. I moved my port away from dividend earners to go after cap app for a while back when all the crazy growth was going on but since that slowed im back chasing dividends its much safer and less time consuming

@Friedeggs 80% top 10 and the rest are sub 60p players that I put up for sale once they hit me 17% increase, giving me 15% profit, sink the profit into the top 10 then hunt the latest 'grower'.
Put around £900 in and port is at £1250, so around 30% growth - got to be happy with that as around 5 weeks ago I was stuck around the 17% mark.

Milestone reached overnight for me too, holding the top 3 media winners - now over £200 in divs 💪🏻
Joined in September '18 and invested a total of £1500.
Portfolio now worth over 2.5k (when I re-invest the divs from the last fortnight still sat in my cash balance).
These earnings are phenomenal, far beyond expectation!
Roughly 13.3% in dividends earned to help my portfolio rise 67% in less than 9 months!!
My strategy has always been to invest mainly in long-term holds who can reap dividends. Despite the fairly recent trend for youth and transfer prospects (which to me is GAMBLING), sticking to my guns has proved shrewd and I shall continue to do so.
Yes I'm gloating a little now. No apologies 😜

signed up end of April 19 div pay £42.99 in nearly 6 weeks port worth £612 dep around £500 in that time!!! lost money learning at the beginning but think got the hang of it now but no idea if rate of ret any good???? hopefully media madness can hit £50 by the end of the nations league as hold 15 kane, 5 VVD 16 hazard and a measley 2 Mbappe they should do it

@ScousePilgrim sounds like you are doing very well youve returned nearly 10% in dividends alone in just over a month. Im at 18% roi for dividends and ive been here 9months. Well done keep it up mate
